I'm only discovering the Betrayal Legacy series now. I've only randomly watched a few other Game the Game episodes, but this is by far the most successful of the series. Really entertaining.
In page 11 of the rules is stated "If you are instructed to draw the top card from a deck, then draw the top card, regardless of its region markings" so at 17:00 I think it is not needed to search for a specific region
when the traiter died, he should dropped items, and priest could picked them all Up the first time ... But the Priest pulls out a MC.Hammer time at the end ! Best "Game to Game" to Date !!!!!!
Found a mistake that technically changes the outcome of the game completely. When the traitor used the hammer at 1:17:30 or so, he rolled all blanks. The hammer states that you destroy the card if the results are 0. This same hammer was used to kill the cult leader later on, with that added damage being 1 in excess of the defending roll.
@@skyblazeeterno Yeah, the traitor used it to attack. The reroll from gambler made him fail, but they both rolled 0's. The hammer should have broken right then and there. Right after he was like "Oh, I get my weapons now."
The first time I played this chapter and discovered the helm I freaked out! so cool and such a great wy to keep the players guessing! I love Betrayal and Legacy is mine and m best friend's favorite way to play. We are about to start chapter 6! please keep these videos coming!
With the bells, you have to move just so you know it says move everyone. You cant choose not to move someone. Also when it says heal, on a card, it means heal it to its starting value if it is below, so from when xander was critical, he should have healed his might to his starting value instead of just one.
He did heal to his starting value, I think they realized the mistake because there is a weird jump cut after he "gains" a point back, and he says instead that he "heals" back to the starting value
I love the whole campaign, but I do worry a bit how it will play afterwards. Probably like Vanilla Betrayal, that everyone starts off together, and discovers other rooms. Oh well. At least I have the whole campaihgn first (and knowing my gamegroup, that will take a loooong time :D )
@@jewgenijreizmann9518 that's what I think it will be too - vanilla where omen + room will determine wich haunt triggers. Haunt rolls, the while shebang. But the old haunts could be terribly one-sided from the start and some quite terrible written. I hope the haunts are more well tested and balanced this time. And yes, the initial campaign will probably be worth the money.
Ya even if it's mostly more balanced for only the Legacy portion it should be worth it. Some of the reviews that are out pretty much say the issue with unbalanced haunts is still there. Personally, I'll be thrilled if they fix or remove just the broken/fragile "vanilla" haunts where the end is boring, impossible or anticlimactic.
MOAR! (thank you please) Spoilers: I think the cult got unlucky not to win that one. The smart thing would have been for Lazarus to leg it to another Stable Hand tile instead of staying put. Then Elias would have been summoned there & it would have got him away from Victor so he couldn't dive in the way of attacks. Unless I missed something..

I know I'm late, but to clear this up, they only moved the cook when they discovered a NEW inhabitant tile with her symbol. That said, they only had 2 stablehand tiles up, so there should have been another one that he could run and discover for the same effect. Would have taken a while and been very risky, but then again, so was baiting an attack to kill Victor on his own turn.
A couple of things. You're not really supposed to build out passed the front door of the house. But, more importantly, the game's creator did a play through and he specified that when you are directed to get the item at the top of the deck, you disregard the location. For example if you are on the ground floor and are directed to draw the top item card and it is an upper floor/basement card, you draw it anyway.
Also, I should mention that they did away with the need for the Traitor(s) to leave the room to read their instructions, but I can see why that may still be a good idea for this sort of play through.
When becca say in the end about invite you guys and doing part 2. I get bad feeling next game the game not gonna have this game but another game and this game gonna be pause waiting all same guest to come again at the show.
It feels like it's impossible to win as a solo player against the traitor. You get 1 attack per turn and target the Cult Leader, the traitor jumps in front and potentially dies, and you've used your attack for the turn. Then the traitor gets to revive on the same square ready to bodyguard again before your next turn (as long as they don't choose to attack and die on their own turn). Am I missing a rule where you can move the farmhand somehow to break that or what?
Pretty sure that when a haunt starts its always the person left of the traitor who starts, its only the person left of the haunt revealer when the traitor is hidden or there is none.
As to not spoil anything (at least too much); If only the Traitor would have used the ability to get a trait back, so that he could have used his ability one more time, he migt have won it :( I was rooting for the baddies here :D
Technically yes but he respawns with critical on everything. So if he attacks and loses he dies and then on the other players turn befire he respawns he can kill the cult leader
players screwed up at 1:13:00. when he died, he drop a pile of stuff on the ground, the other player could have picked it up, so he would have had none.
At 34:59, Jay says "But then you can invoke it later with your ability to ..." and Becca interrupts him by saying "We don't know about that". And indeed, they shouldn't know about invoking at that point unless they played this haunt previously or they read the traitor's tome. The fact that Becca cuts him off like this also implies something is up. Did I miss something? (Ps love this series, watching it a second time)
Well, I think there was a blank die rolled for the game ending attack, so we can say that was the die that shouldn't have been thrown. So long as they destroy the card before next game, it should right itself.
At 1:17:07, couldn't Xander have re-rolled his blank die with the Gambler calling? Maybe they'll address it as we go, but...well, there have been a lot of mistakes in this so far anyway! Haha.
In the overhead cam, Xander is on the left, with three 1s. This is evidenced by how two of the dice are together. In the front cam, two of Xander's dice are together.
As long others from your game group don´t know it, you are fine. It´s always good for someone to know what is supposed to be done. Although so far the game does not seem to suffer of "What the hell are we supposed to do know" Syndrome ^^
Im not sure if this is just a filming choice, but shouldn't they be reading part of the intro for the haunt together as well as doing the setup for it? Otherwise when they split up, it makes sense why they are so confused.
The Sickle (Exz-sickle?) has boxes to be checked when it kills. Becca killed a cultist with it. James killed Jay with it. Two of the boxes should be checked. Also, when a haunt with a traitor starts, the player left of the traitor starts first.
Something is odd. Why didn't the traitor just stand in front of the farmer the whole time and do nothing on his turn? Considering the only survivor could only do 1 attack on his turn, at best he would kill the traitor every turn but then the traitor would resurrect before the next, the game would be on a perpetual stalemate. Or am I missing something?
32:00 should it be the traitor to start his turn? Isn't it always the player left to the traitor who starts the turn after the haunt is revealed, no matter on whose turn the haunt actually was revealed?
Ya, traitor's left always start unless the haunt explicitly says so Rule Book: Pg 19 RESUMING PLAY When both sides are ready, all players return to the room and take their turns in the following order. 1. The hero to the left of the traitor takes the first turn. 2. Play continues to the left, with the traitor going after all heroes have gone. 3. If there is a monster in the haunt, the monster takes a turn after the traitor. (The haunt will tell you where to put the Monster card to remind everyone when the monster takes a turn.) In haunts where there is no traitor (or the traitor starts hidden or unknown), the haunt will tell you who goes first.
So really cool game. But seems that if there is only one player left vs the cult master and traitor. Then the players cant win since if the traitor just dont attack on his turn then he can keep rezzing making it at best a tie for the players or slowly killing them. Could be fixed with a cost to rez like one cultist from anywhere to the box.
God there are so many better uses for the cultists than what the traitor did. As the guy who played the cultist in this haunt I'm deeply disappointed in them.

Poor play by the traitor. He lost because he attacked, there was a stalemate - he could defend Elias every round and come back from death, and eventually he would get better on the defense roll than the attacker and win. The only way for the traitor to lose was to make an active attack and go down so he couldn't defend Elias :-(

No because he didnt reroll his blank and rolled 6 and the cult leader rolled 5
So if he didnt roll his blank he Would still get 6

This is so interesting. The Haunt 11 in my game went so differently.
In mine the heroes just randomly attacked one of them ending it the second turn.
Seems like the haunts are well balanced so far. Seems like I will upgrade my old copy for this.

When me and my friend played it we found 2 or 3 haunts really one-sided bit might just have been bad luck before the haunt that made it unbalanced.

Victor also shouldn't have attacked as the only time he couldn't defend is if he was damaged on his turn
You only move inhabitants is if you discover a room with a inhabitant symbole

At 49:58 when Jay uses Helle's Bells, he should have also gained 1 Speed since he made it his heirloom

This was changed so the act of rezzing requires you to send at least one cultist to the box, so if you run out of cultists you'll stay dead.

was there a restriction on attack reroll? if not, then at1:08:55, he could have rerolled his 3 dice, 1 attack result!

+BrknSoul it was a double blank. He rolled 3 dice, and got a total of 1. The only possible result was 1 die rolled a 1, and the other two were blanks.

They specifically read that in this game they DO roll for haunts. They even remember to do it with the first omen.
