Added my first application of granular fertilizer 3 days ago (Lesco 24-0-11). I also added some liquid kelp, humic acid and liquid aeration a few days before that. We had some good rain yesterday. I checked the lawn this morning and was blown away at how quick is responded. Green as can be and already needs another mow. Amazing. This is my first year taking care of the lawn and best decision I’ve made. Bermuda lawn btw.

I pay a local company $109 dollars for pre-emergent and they come in March and post emergent they come in November. All the weeds are gone and my entire yard is dormant all winter. Plus now people are cutting their weeds and I haven't cut my grass a single time here in North Carolina. The pre and post emergence takes care of all kinds of weeds so for some like me it's cheaper to get them to spray it. I have about 1600 square feet and they use a liquid. But Great Video!! $109 each time. So twice a year I pay $109 for pre and post emergence.🎉

I am sure my cool season grass will require a different application schedule than where you are at. What would you suggest. I applied Lesco 0-0-7 April 1, then a 10-10-10 on April 9. Thoughts? Thank you.

I’m not a fan of applying a 10-10-10 to lawns because mainly it’s not formulated for lawns. It’s a tree and shrub fert. YardMastery just released a 12-12-12 that is formulated for lawns. As for the Lesco 007 it’s one of my favorites. If you still have the bag check the back and it should have a schedule or suggestion for you type of lawn 👍🏾

I know my soil test said 5lbs per thousand, but that was before the starter and milo. So my thinking is I could stand maybe 3lbs per thousand cause there are a few thin spots, and save the rest for later. In late August or September. Also get another soil test around then too. Thanks

I’m following my own similar basic plan but I started a month early on each application. For example I put down my weed and feed down April 1. Should I just put down more down May 1 then proceed to follow this plan or just stick with being a month early on each application and let it be?
