Hi everybody. Back to my love of fluid art deconstructed blooms! This time I thought I would make one super colorful and use 7 (!!) colors--mostly Golden Fluid Acrylics and This Little Pigments (aka Piggies). That didn't work out so well and I ended up omitting 2 colors. I truly think this is one of my prettiest pieces--you'll have to let me know what you think in the comments! Colors/Brands/Recipe:
House Paint-base aka puddle for the canvas:
Glidden Essentials Eggshell White House paint (Home Depot) 4 cup batch mixed with 1/4 cup Golden GAC800 to prevent crazing
Pouring Medium aka PM-mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:
Sherwin Williams HGTV Ultra Deep Base UNtinted house paint (you can substitute with Behr Interior/Exterior High Gloss Enamel DEEP Base #8300 (Home Depot)); Minwax Polyacrylic Gloss varnish ; 2:1 ratio paint to varnish
Brands/Colors mixed: Golden Fluid Acrylics Teal, Permanent Violet Dark; several drops into a 3 oz. cup of PM; This Little Piggy pigments in Sangria and Enchantment; PearlEx pigment in Aztec Gold. 1/8th tsp. into 3 oz. PM.
Cell Activator (last color on your puddle before you swipe or blow it out-no PM):
Australian Floetrol + Golden Carbon Black; 4:1 ratio Floetrol to paint

Just gorgeous. I like the last orientation you showed. I believe you called it the bottom. Looking at your paint formulas. They are quite different from other "paint pourers". Have to study them. Obviously, they do a great job!

I'm loving these deconstructed blooms. And I like the second orientation better, so the more centered (across the width) bloom is at the base. Beautiful colours that blue/aqua just makes it pop.
lol it seems a few of us have been watching Cindy for a while....she is amazing..what she does with her blooms is amazing....! Very down to earth and so encouraging....she always says "you can do it..." lol. Also very forthright in telling it how it is especially when she can't find the art supplies she needs lol. She knows how to make do...and substitute etc. Who would have ever guessed so much beauty could be created in the kitchens of great artists ....Karen...and ...Cindy! Kudos to both ladies who encourage the rest of us to keep creating and...........HAVE fun as well! Ty Karen....this one is so gorgeous in composition and color!! Because of you I tried my pearl ex pigments (got them to use with polymer clay hahahhaha)...and yes...they work!! I love them!! Btw? The bottom looks great!! hehehehehe meaning the painting of course! Just a wonderful wonderful piece!!! I can understand the love of these...... btw Happy Easter (it is still Easter right ? Easter Monday!)

Hi Karen...I think this one tops them all!! The solid areas between the blooms make the end result better...always fun to watch you.

I liked the first way you held it up. I seriously can’t get sick of watching you do this. You are the master of the tilt. I hope I can learn to tilt half as good as you with the composition. I need to work on seeing things in my mind as where things will move and how it will look. I find that difficult. Another gorgeous piece Karen

I vote for the comet at the top of the piece. I'm hoping you'll use these colors again - they are so gorgeously yummy together. I think you should deconstruct all the blooms you want because 1) it's your art and your channel and 2) you create amazing ones. Also wanted to add that you make me giggle a lot, and I think it's perfectly OK to love your own bottom!

I love both ways, but the 2nd way of orientation looks awesome, almost like a Sunflower goddess looking down upon her Ethereal Earth or something!
