It states art therapy in part of the title, and I must be transparent, I am 63 and recently ended a 24 year marriage and it has been tramatic for me. So I must be honest, i sit in therapy weekly, but what has seem to help me take back my life is the various types of pour paintings tutorials. Thank you so much love your tutorials.
I like this painting oriented the other way around. I like the dark on top and the light on bottom. Then it looks like a sunspot on a beach, with a stormy sky and a hint of light coming through the dark clouds. Dark recedes and light brings the perspective forward.
Karen you are such a lovely, inspiring und creative person. I love all your explanations and ideas you work on and above all your super sense of humor. If I would not live in Switzerland I just came over for a short visit and bring you some delicious black Swiss chocolate. Can‘ t wait to see you soon. Merry Christmas from Switzerland
Oh, Karen. I have been needing a tutorial just like this. I have been 'playing' for a few weeks & with your help I now feel I can carry on with more understanding. Thank you so much.
this is really beautiful Karen..I would love to see a side by side with house paint as the pillow? I hate using a full tube of white for the base coat!! :)
This is a breathtakingly beautiful piece Karen!! I was mesmerized!! Thank you for this Invaluable information on mixing my friend!! Thank you love!! KPTYS!!💜🎨🐷
Oh! It looks like a moody ocean with a sky that is starting to brighten but still moody at the top. I love it so much. We don’t get the discovery channel at our house and I have been waiting to see which one you are on. I hope we get to see it one day. I loved your how to mix section because it is relevant in Australia and America. I know you really get what you pay for in colours because I was always an artist until I stopped. Until my Dr found out and made me start again but do it in abstract. That caused 2 weeks of meltdowns, she wanted me to paint outside the lines and get paint on me. 😳 Two years ago I didn’t know fluid art existed. Now I wouldn’t do anything else. I have been using thick, white house paint as a base. I knew it was just wrong but I didn’t know how to change it. Most of my life I have used Jo Sonja paints and later years I added Matisse. Somewhere in my garage in a box there is a big clear bucket with a lid. It is full of new tubes of Matisse. My garage also has giant pythons in it. I have never been inside of it but it is killing me knowing that paint is in there along with so many other things I need. Thank you for this video. ❤️
* SOLD* All-I know this is a longer video but hopefully it will help out the newbies. If you already know how to mix any kind of paint, you can hop here to get to the action: 25:25
Gi-Day Karen love the painting dark to light. Amazing how same paints in and different effects in each cup. Gorgeous. Storm clouds rising over the sea. You make the mixing very clear. Mix the pm first. So it’s the same for everything. I have done it individually and have to make it the same by adjustments. I’m doing it your way now. 💞🥰💫✨🌞
Gorgeous Karen. I like the orientation both ways. It’s very beachey the other way with a storm brewing on the horizon. It’s such a treat to watch you create. Thank you! Have a artfully blessed new year. ❤️
Wow wow wow!!!! Karen that is a beautiful painting! Super cool how it looks like the sky, water and beach! Thank you so much for all your inspiration and teaching! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Merry Christmas and you are blessed!
This is amazing on every level. Holy $&%*€£¥!! I love the colors and the composition. I’m glad you left the clouds where you did. No surprise that it sold right away. I’m in love with it! Hope the new owner loves the heck out of this. So amazing. 💕❤️💜🧡💙❤️🔥
Thank you Karen. This was so informative and we all appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge. This turned out beautiful. Hope it dries as great for you. Can’t wait to see the dry results. Have a very Merry Christmas. 🎄🎁
WOW, I LOVE everything about this very classic looking painting! I don't even think you could replicate it; would not look anything like this if you tried 300 more times this week. You're an even better classical artist than you thought, aren't you?! Well, no surprise from your followers, maybe. And thanks so much for all the tips and recipes; I've got a notebook full of 'em, an empty bank account now (husband will stop moaning eventually), and I'm on the lookout for delivery trucks daily. SO many different supplies I've been collecting for a few years now, and they seem to change, but oh, well, some hobbies are just more expensive than others ;)
The outcome is beautiful!! Thank for the clarity in mixing the three different type of paints. Saved✔️ Oh also you were great on the show! Really enjoyed all the episodes but of course fluid art was my fave 🥰
Thanks so much for the longer video and taking time to explain the mixing, Karen! Definitely want to take a class from you one day! This flip cup came out so moody and gorgeous! Evokes some great and varied emotions depending on where the eye rests in the painting! My question is can you do this without using house paint? Merry Christmas, lovely lady, to you and your family! Many blessings for the rest of this year and through all of the next year! Again, thank you so much for sharing your skills with us!
@@WaterfallAcrylics oh. OK. I think you mentioned deep base something? I guess I will have to watch this again, darn it! Lol! Love when that happens! 😀
