You should try getting the pens if you can / insurance covers it. They’re a game changer, much easier to dose and you can take them on the go.

I read no need to mix or roll vial of insulin with clear insulins, doesn't this degrades insulin protein in rapid acting insulins? Also it is helpful to lubricate barrel of syringe prior to measuring air.

From what I remember from what my endo told me, some insulin are the mixed ones with two types. Those sometimes need to be rolled to mix. I never took these only long lasting and lispro. I did end up switching to insulin pens like Toujeo. Pens make it way easier to use.
