- On this rainy day in Ireland, I decided to clean the greenhouse, which had become filled with cobwebs. As the Irish summer can be unpredictable, this seemed like a good use of my time. I hope you find the video of the process calming, as it features the soothing sound of raindrops and creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The rain sound adds an extra layer of relaxation to the experience.

@itsmewende Northeast Missouri. Southern Missouri has gotten rain lately. Although, as I reply, it is raining. Interestingly, it was not in the forecast. We'll, it lasted 15 minutes. 😊 Have a wonderful week.

15 mins is 10 more then here. I noticed the past 2 autumns, we’ve had very little rain from Sept to Dec. Used to rain a few days every week. We’re supposed to get rain Monday and Tuesday, hope they got it right. Have a nice week ahead.
I’ve been to Ireland twice and each time I loved being in the rain! A rainy day in Ireland is better than a sunny day any place else in the world! 💚🍀🇮🇪

I've only ever seen Ireland in the rain... both times in summer, nary a glimmer of sunshine! I bought a Harris Tweed hat which shed the water beautifully!!
What's better to do on a rainy day than clean up the greenhouse? Your greenhouse is so perfect - perfect size to get things potted, stored, etc., yet still cozy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful rainy day with us.

One thing having a cool rainy July is that it's a little cooler to clean the green house . It's done nothing but rain all this month in South Wales, I just knew we wouldn't have a summer like last year. Feeling so much for the people in Europe with the extreme heat and devastation from it.

I love rainy days in the garden, even when the garden is tucked in Ireland miles from my Michigan, USA home. The sound of rain is soothing and it gentles and softens the view outside. A little lightning and thunder always makes me want to tuck under a light throw with a good book a d a purring cat!

I’m agreeing with all who are enjoying the rain. It’s so dry in Oregon. I’m a pelargonium NUT! They love the greenhouse environment and never stop blooming. Such a friend! I’ve been under the impression that they have a bit of a trailing habit, though I’m sure you’re right about them seeking sunlight, too. Surprised to find that wild geranium as well as coral bells are also loving the greenhouse. I’ll be moving my Mandavilla, Balloon Flower and Plumbago in there come winter-all new plants to me. Seem patient with drought conditions so far. Thank you for your sweet way and for the rain, Catherine! 💕🌷💕

Hi Catherine..We've had lots of rain too.. love a hot cup of tea and a good book on a rainy day. Do you ever put your pelagoniums outside. I grow them in pots in my garden then I can bring them in when the weather turns cold. They are very thick and green when outside

Yes for the rain crowd. Our weather has not been unbearable yet and it is nearing the end of July. Grateful for this however no rain for over a month. I miss it. Throw in a day or two during the summer months and I am a happy girl! My ear is gluded to my tablet listening! So cozy.

Yes, the rain is lovely to hear. We are having hot weather, and not enough rain this year, yet enough wet that the mosquitoes and gnats are everywhere.

It has been heatwave here in Florida over 100F and 79% humidity the other day but thankfully we got rain last couple days and now it has been cooler, still hot but better when it rains. The rain is good for garden and less watering I have to do. I always feel like laying around reading a book, sipping tea, and napping on rainy days.

Can I come sit in your greenhouse and just soak up the rain and the therapy that I feel like the rain gives?!? the reason why we like the rainy days is because it is so serene, so relaxing and for me here in Texas with it being over 100° every day for the past month it makes me feel cooler ❤❤ i’m waiting till it gets a little cooler for you and you have your little stove on inside and you’re out and about in the greenhouse in the cool air. I love that time of the year as well but then again, I could just go sit in your chairs and soak up the sun and your beautiful garden, and be perfectly content!!!
Rain is so important, the whole day we had only a lot of wind.

Yes we like rainy garden clips because we are trying to remember how rain looks and sounds. Texas bone dry only 95 today but tomorrow back up to 102F with no chance of rain. Greenhouse is nice and tidy now. Enjoy you big cup of tea. Thanks Catherine.
