As a blue dot in Mississippi, I hear you on our votes being worthless thanks to the electoral college. Doesn't stop me from voting, but damn does it hurt to see my state turn red as soon as the polls close on election day.
As a european and person who tries to think logically, I am puzzled by what a person actually means when they say they are "black" or "white", "asian", "latino" and what have you. Assuming you are an American citizen, and that thumbnail picture is you, there is a big chance you are of African descent. But, since this means your ancestors were brought to America as slaves, and slave holders often abused and raped female slaves, there has been mixing from the start. And there has been voluntary mixing between the so-called races as well. Also, in thousands of years of history, people have been travelling, conquering, and mixing all the time. Sometimes voluntary and often because of rape. Europeans and asians have genes of Atilla the Hun because he had sex (raped) with thousands of women in the places he conquered. Likewise Vikings spread their genes around. So as far as I can tell, there does not exist such a thing as race. There are only species, which are defined by the ability to proceate within that species, but "race" is a social idea not really grounded in science. And since it is used to discriminate, it is in my opinion better to get rid of the "race" idea altogether. Our species, humans, has adapted all over the world to the local circumstances. Humans probably all started of with brown skin because we started off in places with lots of sun, and we evolved that color to protect against the sun. We also had a lot more body hair, but most people (but not all) lost it, because we learned to make clothing and it was not needed anymore. The Inuit people way up in the North in America became shorter because it is icy cold up there, and being short means less heat loss. And so on and so forth. But all these different people can make babies together so they are the same species and race just does not exist.

Polls are just that, samples of a very tiny minority of the voting population and dependent on who conducted those polls their forecast will differ. Polls don't matter, votes do, that's the message he is trying to get across. He was only alerting people of the possible danger.
The thing I worry about is the fear surpassing people’s window of tolerance and morphing into despair and hopelessness, cause those feelings have a much higher risk of apathy.

The American educational system has been deteriorating (to collapsing) since the 1990's, if not earlier. We've simply gotten to the point where the ability to analyze data is gone, and the realistic ability to react without involving one's emotions and use a logical response is gone. This is why Trump is incredibly popular. It's also why people will happily cancel you if you say anything they don't like, why comity is long gone in America, and why people will answer a well-thought-out argument with a base insult and think they're actually clever. This is--if most people retained the ability to think--the logical result and the designed result of exactly what's happened to education (and other things) over the decades. Confirmation bias is a powerful motivator. It's why we are in the mess we are in. I understand hearing how close the polls are is upsetting but by spreading that message we can still work to do something about it.

They are frantic, because they know not only could Democrats lose if we don't make absolutely certain to keep pushing back against MAGA lies nonstop - like the insane disinformation that spread EVERYWHERE on social media about FEMA - but they also know that Trump and MAGA WILL try to subvert this election if they lose. They are already trying. So that means that it's NOT ENOUGH to WIN - we will have to fight tooth and nail to make sure the votes are counted and that the election is actually certified. Which means we NEED to win by BIGGER MARGINS - and we need to win the House, and we need to hold the Senate. We CAN'T be complacent. We have to keep fighting to the end, which is coming FAST. Even if your only action is texting your friends to vote Blue, or sharing a post on Facebook, or donating $5, it's all better than nothing. I am phone banking every chance I get. I am writing postcards to voters. We must win.

Those are the facts. David Pakman does not realize that there are a lot of junk polls out there, paid for by trump, to muddy the water and make it seems like he will win.

Unfortunately, people, including and especially me, are literally "stressed the hell out" at the very thought that Trump could be re-elected, and hearing that could/may happen is most times simply TOO much to bear!!!!
