@@something8127 fair enough, though i butchered my BO twice :D was away from the game for a few days due to wrist pain :x I usually build a safety voidray when Zerg shows mass roaches when I play on the ladder so it was hilarious when Harstem called it
Maybe if the caster could only be heard at random times and other times muted for both players. That might be more interesting than always being unmuted. The caster would also have no way of controlling the game at that point.
@@marmoran9493 ty! It was both of us returning to play after a few days of being out, me with wrist pain and Esarel with other issues so we both cleaned some rust I guess 😜
This was effing hilarious! 😂 I was laughing the entire time non-stop. Oh my... Too good. I love the gentle needling of the players by simultaneously helping them but also giving them shit for their mistakes. At first I thought this might be fun with higher level grand master players, but after the first match I realized it's perfect with diamond who have enough knowledge for how the game should work, but can't keep up. Thank you for this. Made my day. 😊
@@D3cepti0ns that's what I'm thinking, do a quick 30 sec recap of the IMBA complaints, even let both players hear the IMBA recap and then get into the game
This was absolutely amazing content and had me laughing out loud. Would love to see more of this with higher level players and lower level players. Lower level players probably more because this is basically like you’re coaching both of them at the same time so it’s great.
Amazing format! I'm the same level as them, yet this is so painful! That supply block in the second game, both of them at 3.42 of the second game, and the P stuck at 46/46 for 50 seconds, while also not spending the gas 😄🔥
Nice concept, Maybe could do with the announcer not knowing until after the games would be interesting. I think the lack of upgrades in the first game really hampered the Zerg game 1, it was a good few matches though.
This was a fun idea, also a good matchup between equally skilled players I reckon. Constructive criticism: Maybe a little less like... 'backseating' or directional casting and more just describing what the other is doing. A little direction is ok but it's fun to see how people play unguided y'know?
I would love to see this with a caster that doesn't know he's being heard + professional level SC2 players... I would love to see how long it takes for the caster to figure out that he is being heard... I would love to see how pros would use the info...
there is a perfect number of units for air in the early game. this composition of air units can hold off an air attack until reinforcements, or relatedly kill 1 unit desired instantly. for example having 4 Vikings can cancel the effectiveness of most air attacks. love your content captain, I am mid on macro so tell me your thoughts when I am wrong.
I have a wild theory.. the wave of the future will be building your 3third base at the top of your race regardless of race. Reason? : having a second base in the main allows you to saturate mineral lines faster for the rest of the game and forces pathing for your opponent. in addition it adds clout to any defenses built at the main base ramp. Maths: Pros are more workers, extra supply, and focusing down this defensive structure will cost you additional units. (at least for human the cost of an additional base costs the same as 4 zealots but in the short term pays for itself.
first thing I said I was meaning to say was that manipulating the enemies pathing in the early game can allow for concaves that are difficult to dislodge.
Imagine a small tournament, with this twist and without the casters knowing it. i dont think the top player will be distracted by it, but the lower ones would have fun.
i play zerg without a brain as a statement, but the casting for sure threw me off. i had no "mental RAM" to remember evo chambers existed and because he kept mentioning lurkers in my infinite wisdom made up to refuse to build them in my head. definitely a for-fun race for me that i enjoy trying to explore the production mechanics of specifically, printing feels sooooo good, but for sure lots could have been done better haha
I can testify that the casting REALLY throws you off from your original plan, there's SO MUCH information that might not be that relevant for now but it interrupts with your line of thinking ya know? Esarel and I both also came back to the game after a few days off so that might also be it
Hey, how about this idea: two top players playing against each other and they can hear you casting on the fly. they do not hear each other, only you casting. ofc you need to do it properly, without giving preference to anyone. I would absolutely enjoy it - it must be phenomenal fun.
this is amazing, but if in the future people start metagaming it by not scouting and just countering the units the caster points out, it could turn real sour.
Harstem what do you think about hydras in ZvP? I think they suck incredibly. Roaches are much cheaper, have higher HP, ravagers are also quite nice to use while hydras only win against mass voidray play. I think roach-corruptor-viper is the nicest play you could get for diamond player, am I right or not? What do you think of that?
(shemetz here) laughed like 80% of both matches, you have no idea how hilarious this is as a player. Audible maphacks + live shouldersurfing from harstem. Best SC2 experience I had yet.
If you suddenly casted my games, I would personally greatly appreciate the part where you just say that the game is over because, in lower levels of play, the game is decided wayyyyyy before anyone surrenders. Haven't played in half a year myself, though.
You should do this with a caster who doesn't know he's being heard by the players.
Illusion instantly destroyed by shemetz though
@@something8127 you'd have to tell the players not to talk in chat

This is brilliant. Literally coaching them via casting. I'm kinda dying laughing lol
And also unintentionally distracting them at the most crucial moments.

Have to say, the ideas you bring to an established game like SC2 to spice things up is really impressive. I enjoy them all so far, keep it up :D

I love the amount of sticks harstem just throws at shemetz like, bro Im telling you it's roaches make a fucking voidray ffs lmao
Great cast, if only there were an entire channel of you casting great games!
Also the void ray, stroke of genius!
I LOVE this concept! You keep coming up with creative ways to make starcraft content and I always get hype when you find a winner like this.
This is awesome. Please make this a series
Genius concept. 16:42 You can spot a top notch caster because they can commentate straight through a yawn.
this was great and should be a new series with all levels of players.
2:03 starting to give straight suggestions here lol :D
this is such a fantastically funny concept. please make this a series
very entertaining! i really appreciate content with low level players, it's just so relatable.
That was fun.. I like your creative format types..
The master pupeteer Harstem
I think it would also be fun if you used 2 different people who have submitted IMBA complaints to battle against each other
YES
And have each one play the other's imba complaint.

Not gonna lie, this may be my favorite Harstemcast
lol, now imagine this with Serral and Reynor
This was pretty fun to watch
Awesome video. Really funny! Would be funny to make a serie from Gold -> Platinum -> Diamond -> Master -> GM and see how they react to the comments ;)
I love this idea! Definitely make it a series!
Amazing concept. Highly entertaining. Thanks Harstem!
Great format!! More of this please 🙏

i feel like this is much better for zerg since zerg has constant info on the early game harass which protoss and terran always have to go for

watching a zerg player with so many bases and so many drones get absolutely zero upgrades for his units brings me immeasurable emotional pain
