Some people have moved onto other stereoscopic positions in nature. For example, using stereoscopic techniques on a face to see three eyes. And trying to involve two people.
Always loved these things. They're especially trippy if you know how to cross your eyes instead of focusing on something far away. It makes the image appear to be falling away from you instead of popping out. Great video again guys, most interesting podcast about random stuff 👍
It is tricky, if you can unfocus your eyes voluntarily though then practicing that is a good way to help you learn how to see these things. Or look at something 15-20ft away, then slide the magic eye puzzle in front of your view while staying focused on the thing that's 15-20ft away. Usually that will get you in the ball park of seeing these things. If you get good at focusing on things far away then you can try learning to focus on things up close, or going cross-eyed like when you try to focus on your own nose. Instead of the magic eye image appearing to hop out at you, it appears to be recessed away from you, it gets really trippy.
