Of course that this is more beautiful, but often the stuff like super fast passages and super high notes aren't supposed to be the most beautiful thing, they're played because the players are having fun together, showing off their chops, and all that. Different styles for different contexts.

I played this song while in high school, in a Dixieland band, and have heard it played by maybe forty or fifty bands, but this is the real stuff.

Went to New Orleans with Mom and Dad in Feb of 85 and saw them preform and saw Sing Sing Percy humphrety among a few others in the band !
