    Thanks for providing all the details that no one bothered to explain before. it was a lot of confusion, doubt and unhappiness with flying in a strange environment. This makes it easier for the veterans of MP along with boosting newbies (that would be me) up to speed so much quicker and less stressful.

    Digging this. I had been staying in the just dog fight servers because it was super easy and fast to get into some action, but the more realistic full-scale servers are a lot fun and thanks to your videos they aren't so confusing! I have yet to find a human GCI or ATC but still fun.

    • @TacticalPascale

      They are out there, most good servers notify players in the briefs when they are on.

    • @tomaszwota1465
      @tomaszwota1465 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep SRS on frequencies provided in the briefings, certainly atc/gci are not always there, they're just human after all, but the more often you play, the more chance you have to play with them around. It's fun even to just announce stuff on an uncontrolled airport, and very much useful to do so on busy airports.
      edit: but after 1 year, you have more experience now! Damn, my eyesight isn't as is used to be! :D

      It's also worth saying -- plain english comms is better than no comms. Don't be intimidated by a ton of brevity calls that you don't know what they mean. Sometimes plain english is just better.

    • @brettswiftvideos
      @brettswiftvideos 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      602+ for AA. But for AG do you just call it explicit like the DCS bots do with JTAC? Ex 2 AGM-65E, 2 HARM etc?

    • @Deliverator80
      @Deliverator80 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@brettswiftvideos if you've got a human JTAC in a MP server, then you'd follow an abbreviated 9-line, which is more explicit like the DCS AI does. A GCI/AIC isn't going to be issuing you a tasking though, since their job is intercept control, not ground attack control.

  • @snipercan

    What is the check in for a ground attack loadout when reporting state?

    • @TacticalPascale
      @TacticalPascale  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Irl the controller would see on the air tasking order but for DCS you can tell him what your intention is and target location, they might be able to divert CAP cover.

    G'Day mate,
    How does one check in with air-to-ground ordinance?
    Cheers

    • @TacticalPascale
      @TacticalPascale  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Check in and let GCI know where you’re going, they’ll send CAP cover so pesky MiG-21s and F-5s don’t get you.

      @@TacticalPascale What does the STATE part look like or does it apply?

    • @TacticalPascale
      @TacticalPascale  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Doesn’t really apply unless you are working with a JTAC/FAC. If the attack aircraft passes weapons load you can forward it to the ground callsigns.

  • @welsh2266
    @welsh2266 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Might be a daft question mate but how does the harrier pilot in dcs find out how much play time he has?

    • @TacticalPascale
      @TacticalPascale  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a “cruise” page on the MFDs it will tell you best alt for endurance

    • @p90arn
      @p90arn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can see your fuel flow per min (I think) where your nozzle temp and position is shown. I generally take my remaining fuel in lbs, subtract my bingo fuel level and then divide the value by my fuel burn rate and that tells you how many mins you have left to play. Realistically you will burn more when you get into some action so that figure is a best case scenario.

    • @p90arn
      @p90arn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So to clarify:
      Remaining fuel - Bingo fuel / Fuel Flow in lbs per min = play time remaining in mins.
