    Great tutorial! Just FYI, there IS an in-cockpit indication that the rocket pods are empty. On the bottom weapon status panel (mostly obscured by the stick) there’s two annunciator lights on the far left that will turn on when any onboard S-5 rocket pods are empty. It’s backwards from the other pylon status indicators (which are lit when there’s a weapon onboard and dark otherwise, because the pod itself remains on the rail) but it does tell you when you’re out of ammo, without having to resort to an external view. :)

    When you are using the cannon in Ground mode you can turn the radar on to fixed beam and set the MSL/GYRO selector up to MSL and it will uncage the pipper for you.

      Yeah but it’s honestly more accurate with the fixed sight in gyro. In MSL it’s usually a bit too long or short depending on the angle of your five

    Considering my Callsign on your server is "Kraken" I find your intro amusing. Makes me think you're hunting me down slowly but surely

    Thanks for these videos, they are quite useful!
    The worst thing about using Track IR is that when Im watching DCS videos on youtube, I keep unconsciously moving my head around to look at things I want to look at :\ Neck hurts after a while

    Love the S24, if targets are tightly pecked you can take out quiet a lot of stuff.

    Why didn’t you put the radar into locked beam mode for ranging?

    I always thought you had to put the gyro in missile mode for air to ground

    I'm still kinda new to the 21. If you got rocket pods and bombs how do you select your salvo size it the bomb selector is also your rocket selector?

    • @TacticalPascale
      @TacticalPascale  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s the dial on the top left, 4/8/12/16 etc

    • @madaxe606
      @madaxe606 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Place the ASP mode selector (middle switch on the on the left side of the gunsight) to ‘S’ if you wanna shoot the rockets, and ‘B’ if you want to drop the bombs. Be sure to select the applicable pylons as well. (Although 1-4 will work for either mode)

    Just got the mig21 and a joystick dont have headtrack but was wondering if there is a server for newbies to join and be shown the ropes?

  • @RoamingAdhocrat
    @RoamingAdhocrat ปีที่แล้ว

    my limited experience now is that a MiG-21 with any kind of ordnance is a slow, draggy, slow, heavy, slow, fuel-inefficient and slow

    No Laserbeam for Rockets?

    • @Rokaize
      @Rokaize 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, the mig21 doesn’t even have a laser. It uses its radar to estimate ranges for dropping weapons

  • @tqkudzal

    Is your servers public? Or do you have to join a clan?

    • @TacticalPascale
      @TacticalPascale  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We’re not a clan, we’re a group of the most helpful individuals in DCS. We help people learn the ropes by providing free training for all modules. There is no requirement to join other than, and no “you must participate” nonsense. Be cool, don’t be an a**hole is our motto.
