The hepa filter must not be cleaned with vacuum cleaner as stated on this appliance instructions. Please revise your instructions or your video.
Thank you for your comment. We appreciate your feedback. The opertation manual state that the HEPA filter is able to be vacuumed periodically to prolong the filter lifespan. However , replacement is still needed depending on the usage patterns and the location of the unit.
@@daikinmalaysia1924No, the manual explicitly says not to use the vacuum cleaner and not wash it, but only to replace it in case of damage or malfunction. So either update the manual or update the video. If you don't believe it I will send you the photo or video of the section of the manual. He also says it twice. On page 15 on the replacement section and on page 24 in the FAQ the answer number 2

Yes, it’s clearly written on its instructions. You can disable the ionisation to lower it and even set the streamer to low settings if not enough.
How about burnt smell? Is it a component electrical issue?
it was my understanding that HEPA filter does not need to be changed for up to 10 years - is this correct?
Hi, yes this is verified by test method based on Japan Electrical Manufacture's Association Standard (JEM1467)

Hi, it is not advisable and the air purifier will lose effectiveness. Please use a deodorizing filter for best effect. Thanks

Hi, is the black filter you mean is deodorizing filter? Usually no replacement is needed however should you felt the filter is not performing optimally, you may consider replacement filter

Hi, it is recommended to clean it when you find the filter to be dirty. You may also consider cleaning it once a month for optimum efficiency.
How often should i replace the HEPA filter?
Hi, Daikin's electrostatic Hepa filter as tested by Japan standard only needs replacement after 10 years. However it is recommended to vacuum the filter regularly.
