    Enjoyed the video. I have dealt with thyroid problems for two decades. Recently a new doctor actually wants to treat it. My antibodies have always been very high but thyroglobulin is now 1332. After watching your video I have a question. I did have a CT scan on feb 3. Would the iodine in the IV still be affecting the antibodies on March 4 when I had my blood work done? Usually my antibodies are 300-400. Peroxodase 100. Peroxodase was over 200 last week.

    I find extremely annoying the background of people talking and phones ringing. I understand that might be in a busy clinical setting, however this person a doctor, from the comments, trying to educate the auditory while some of them, seems not appreciating this. However, I found this extremely educational to me as a future nurse! Great video very well presented and passionately explained, thanks!

My now great issue is a mass in now growing fast embedded in the anterior of the chest wall.. À ct scan wat done in November. I did a needle point biopsy on in The chest and it showed endocrine. Needed more sample for more testing, The Dr tried a core needle byopsy , too much blood in the swollen area. So it was aborted. What do I do NOW. Dr. email me

    I think it would be helpful to address possible causes of the problems, so that people have tools to take action themselves to mitigate the problem. Just recommending medication or surgery is too simple.

    Hi Ms Leung , it was very comprehensive video , Thanks a lot : ). My query is as follows : which level is more important to be considered ? TSH or T3+T4 ? as per my last week's report : My TSH is very high (43 µIU/mL) but T3(0.53 ng/mL) & T4(6.87 µg/dL) & free T4(1.03 ng/dL) are very near to range ( T4 is in Range) , i was using Eltroxin 100 mcg but after seeing TSH at 45 , doctor increased it to 150 mcg, i am facing heavy hair loss recently in last 2 months and cold sensitivity in last 1-2 weeks, i am 35 yrs male avg body build , 70kgs 173cms height

      The dr said your symtoms and it's low thyroid. re listen. I took blackseed oil while I was on 45mg of compounded thyroid med and I got hyper and it really sucked. Labs tests done and went down to 30mg still too much and them 15mg of thyroid med. They didn't make a pill that size so I had to cut it in half. 15mg works for me. Go check out "Dirt Road Discussions" Guy named Danny runs it. Live Sunday and Wednesday. One day its testimonies. Best channel since sliced bread:) Ps. I took 3/4 teas twice a day of BSO faithfully. Cut back carbs and beer.

Doc in my case I have this lump over 30yrs ago after having caesarian operation, doctors repeatedly check my T3 & T4 were normal, but I have this lump in my neck which I feel concerned about. Oh by the way I have congenital heart problem called coarctation of aorta, which;. Have maintenance every day for my high blood pressure.
    Pls help if I can take medication for my thyroid ?

    Doctor, question. My medication brand was changed five years ago, within 30 days, I gained 15 pounds. I informed my doctor. They did not seem concerned. I have over the past five years, gone up in weight a total of 40 pounds. Unfortunately, they have told me that because of my age (I am now 60), they don’t seem to be concerned on the dose of medication I am taking. I have explained that over the last few years, my symptoms have gotten larger to the point that I have 10 of the hypothyroidism systems out of 12 listed including being tired, colder then others in the room, dry skin etc. Can you advise me on what to say to my doctor? I am going to go take my latest blood tests. Thank you.

      Seems to me you need to find new doctors who will care about you enough and treat your condition accordingly!! So you won’t be left to dig in the dark for answers and treatment alone!

    • @SparkingLife111
      @SparkingLife111 ปีที่แล้ว

      Drop those crappy no good doctors. Get a new one and tell your general practiontioner too. Dont focus on the weight issue focus in the symptoms to show the medication isnt working. State specifically that its clearly not working.

    • @sandycoueffin401
      @sandycoueffin401 ปีที่แล้ว

      40 lbs is a lot of weight gain and must have cost big bucks for a new wardrobe a few times. Now you need to watch your blood sugar too! I've been there. Blackseed oil 3/4 teaspoon 2 x a day . Took 4 months or so to start getting hyperthyroid and losing weight. Caused anxiety so had labs and found out. It was quite by accident. They say it cures everything but death so I tried it. Cut out carbs like rice bread potatoes alcohol. Always have a big bowl of veggies cut up and a dip. Lots of apples and the seeds. HCQ I make myself. Find a recipe on YT. Great for the immune system.

    This is what I don't get about combo T4/T3 replacement: the healthy human thyroid puts out T4 at 80%, but also T3, at the remaining 20%. So when you have complete thyroidectomy... you by definition lose the 20% T3 that came from the now phantom gland. Seems like from the get-go you're at a deficit, even if you perfectly convert T4 to T3 peripherally. Anyone know why endocrine specialists like to insist on T4 mono-therapy for athyreotic patients?

    • @hollyphelps5755

      Yes!! Once you have one, you're likely to have more. It's an immune response which affects the entire body.

  • @breezilicious6947

    She said you dont need treatment or u wont benefit from treatment if u are close to the lower end of the range. U have to be out. Then she said even if you are out doesn’t mean you are sick. You have to almost die to be treated. Ranges are set and they differ from person to person. For example u might be on the higher end pf the range and that’s your normal, then, you go to the low end of the range, not your normal.. u will see symptoms and severe one if left for a long time. My doctor treated me based on that and my symptoms as well and i have never felt better. I lost 6 years of my life because doctors told me my tests are normal. If a doctor refuses to do any test for you it’s worth it to do it out of pocket if needed. Doctors tell us to trust in the mighty range and if you go out of the range they be like eh you off by a little dont worry.

    Alot of youtube speakers pop their mouth in between sentences. They suck in air to speak and snap their mouth. They need voice coaching. She is exclusively using her head voice. The midwestern accent carries alot of tension in the face instead of anchoring the body in the heels.
