My GF had this phone. It required proprietary headphones or the MP3 player was next to useless. She had it at the same time that I had the LG Dare. It did not need proprietary headphones but... it could only play music if it was purchased through the music subscription service that Telus provided. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times
