SteveO! Gotta say thanks...I am 15 hours into getting my Private Pilots License at KPDK. At over 50 years old I said screw it...let's learn to fly, I'm not dead yet. All because of watching your videos. My wife blames you :)
Good luck on your journey! Safe soaring!
If you're physically fit to do it, you can still fly at least 25 years, so it's definitely worth it. When i started to made my glider pilot license i was 15, and the oldest trainee in our club was 66 and he made the license in about the same time like me :)
I completely agree, being physically fit is the key a fulfilling senior age, use it or loss it.
Never too old to learn to fly. Whether private or professional, it's a fundamental achievement that will change your life forever. I learned 22 years ago and as well as meeting a bunch of life-long friends, it changed my whole approach and perspective of my work and personal direction.
@@CosmicGate184 You know how long he's going to live? Cool!
Another great video SteveO! You can tell it's South Florida if everyone is wearing a jacket when it is 62 degrees out. You know people from Wisconsin are in the pool.
You got that right! Glad you enjoyed the video.
a cool 22 degrees F this morning here in Wisconsin, shorts and a t-shirt, felt great!
@@regalnut86 22c here in Scotland is the middle of summer and everyone is enjoying great weather lol
65 degrees in Texas and my wife has the heater on

Great flight, thanks for sharing! The 940 is almost as fast as the 172 I fly - when the 940 is taxiing. 🤣
With only a single engine the TBM940 is quite an amazing aircraft!
Great to see you flying again Steveo! That TBM940 is one beautiful bird! 😁
Glad you enjoyed the flight! 👍🏼
Like you, we were gutted when the regular TBM850 job fell through, but "when one door closes, another one opens" and now you have new opportunities in a more capable aircraft. Looking forward to seeing more!
for real and its an upgrade the 850 back door closed and the 940 pilot door opend lol he has his own door now
This is literally my favorite aviation channel on planet earth. Yes I’ve been to another planet.
Nothing better than the window view of the coastline approach into Nassau!
Beautiful flight Steveo ….gotta love the 940..Hope you and your dad are able to get some camping in together…take care 🙏look forward to your next video soon 👍
Unfortunately my dad’s health is currently not very good in his older age.
Sad to hear that. 😔
I'm so glad to see this videos again Steve-o. The skies haven't been the same without you.
Always enjoy seeing you nail a sweet landing allowing for that quick exit, you really know that airplane! One of the most difficult things for me is when you get ANY kind of nonstandard instructions like the 180 turn and hold short. It is easy enough, but you still have to process it and make sure you actually understand don't screw up. Like you demonstrated, ask twice to be sure and that way no errors or incursions! Well done sir!
I was just checking the channel yesterday thinking it felt like a long time since we saw a SteveO video. And here it is! Great flight vlogs every time.
Watching you from Europe. It's great flying with you to places, we'll probably never see in our lives.
Nice job getting clarification about crossing that hold short line to make the 180°, true professionalism!
Don't worry Stevo i saw that message and smashed the like button 😉
I fly the TBM 930 exclusively in MSFS because of Steveo and his videos, what a dream it would be to do it in real life. Sadly these are just out of my price range as a private pilot.
Awesome! Brings back strong memories from my youth, Dad and the 414 flying around the Bahamas. Magical!
Nice to be back in the air with you Stevo.
Appreciate the way you handled the taxiway 180 on arrival. I heard the instruction and immediately went to ah, there's a hold short line right there. Good discipline to not assume and to double-check. Also good to be aware of and mitigate the jet's potential spool-up - good situational awareness! You could fly my airplane any day.
Stevo, you should make a video on how you do IFR flight planning so competently . I have my instrument rating, but I have a hard time knowing all the fixes i could get assigned and the 3 letter names associated. (often what I file isn't what I get) .
Awesome. Thanks Steve.
Hey SteveO, thanks for the ride along. I really enjoyed it!👍🏿
From over 321 knots to 83 knots - Yeah buddy ! Nice job - It’s fun to watch you work --

Excellent Flight Steveo! I always enjoy flying with you!!
It's uncanny how much he sounds like Glen Quagmire, who is also an airline pilot. Amazing
Giggity

(21:00) As one of those sub guys - I appreciate the shout-out SteveO!
Spent a fair amount of time there :/
Way to go Steve. So happy for you. Love your channel.
The sound of that start gave me goose bumps
Loved it. Thanks for letting me tag along.
Comms to Departure... "Zero Nine Zero, Nine Bravo Zulu" :) Excellent flight management as always, Steve!
Must be such a shock to go from flying this great new TBM940 back to N851TB with all its older systems and myriad mechanical issues.
Thanks for another great video!
Man! That’s one bad ass looking airplane. It looks fast just sitting idle on the ground!
Never seen you do the prop procedure (twice) at the beginning before. Can you explain the purpose of that? Thanks!
Was wondering that myself
Feathering : Action which reduces the drag of a propeller by positioning blades at
the pitch angle allowing minimal drag.
TBM940 Pilot's handbook asks to feather throttle (Flight IDLE to LO-IDLE then Flight IDLE) twice before taxiing
@@TheFlarMr OK> That is what is done, but the reason behind it?
Hey Stevo, I'm glad you're finally back on the TBM. Good to see you upgraded to the 940. Awesome machine! Thank you for your videos I really enjoy experiencing the trips through them, God bless you an take care.
Of course you had to fly to your favorite Island and we needed to see that too 😊
Love the 940! One of my favorite planes. Thanke Steveo!

Right on the numbers! Well done.
Great video, gorgeous paint livery on that TBM, just beautiful.
Thanks for the ride SteveO....awesome views !! 😎
Good seeing you back in the seat . Safe flying Steveo
Nice job, SteveO! You nailed the numbers and were comfortably able to make the turn off by the time you hit the runway holding position marker. That's about 780'. Nice!
Good to see you again Stevo...nice ride. Always beutiful in the Bahamas.
Great to see you back in the air, Steveo!

Was out flying with my buddy in his plane. He let me fly through my first cloud, definitely a cool experience. Great video. Thanks
We have traveled to Nassau many times, but always on a cruise ship. Very interesting seeing it from above like this, very cool perspective! Glad to see more flying vids from you Steveo!
