Picanto gen 1 owner here. Enticed by other brands and cars but picanto always had that place in your heart.
I would choose this over Mirage and Wigo.
That transition from "ding ding ding ding ding ding ding" to "aircon aircon aircon aircon" smooth yet vv funny HAHAHA
Forget the car. What caught my attention is Caco listening to TWICE's More & More while reviewing it. 😂

I've driven this car for work in KSA. Nothing flashy or any feature that was made to shine. IF there was a feature that stood above others, is the ability to rule the tight streets of Al Khobar and made the driver comfortable driving around without worrying about parking parallel spaces.
And alooooooot of memories with this car. One time it rained in KSA and it flooded the streets, there are almost zero canals in KSA as rains only come 3-4 times a year but they are heavy, we had to choose from crossing the flooded street or turn back. We kinda got brave and chose to cross the raging flood waters. You could actually feel the water touching and waving right below your feet only the thin sheet of metal and carpet separating you dry sole and the watery street. Why did this little car cross the watery road? Because it can and it did.
So after that it didnt break the engine or made it rust under? Are you using Automatic? And how is the fuel consumption?

The 1.2L cars on sub 700k segment are so good that you can't justify buying a 1.0 engine with 3 cyclinder 😂 You know what it is.

I got the 2016 EX AT. Years later..performance is getting better and better. Engine going smoother and smoother. acceleration is superb! Top speed 150kph at TPLEX. No joke!

Nice small car. TOTL picanto priced at 745K, I'll probably get the TOTL Brio instead.
But its nice that it has 60/40 split rear seats that the new Brio doesnt have.
Also the instrument cluster looks more modern in the picanto. Aside from that IMO the Brio has more to offer especially cabin space, its definitely more roomy than the picanto.
Been waiting for another Behind the Wheel segment, and finally this.
I don’t plan on buying a car anytime soon but caco’s review is so entertaining. Can’t let this pass

Lots of them saying, daihatsu and it's not toyota ang make ng wigo. for the brand, yes. even sa chasis na lang, marami nagsasabi even wigo owners. sandalan mu lang nayuyupi na. That's exactly my point. not because brand is popular me quality sya compare sa ibang units on the same category.

Don't buy Kia products it has ECU issue which is very @t car has run less than 30km but suffering from ECU issue.It needs replacement and it cost more than $600.
The Kia Picanto is arguably the best looking out of those "sub sub compact" or segment A cars in the Philippines. Imo looks more sharp than stuff like the Mirage or the Wigo.

Why are the stats for the efficiency of cars always so skewed. 12 to 15kmpl in city driving on a piccanto -- but then others will post bigger sedans with the same kmpl stats. It's bullshit. I've owned cars this small I'm sure the kmpl on a car like this is always going to be better than bigger cars. If only I didn't have 4 members now in my immediate family this car would still be my weapon of choice. It had sufficient power and I survive with a shockingly small amount of budget for gas. And YES a child CAN operate that machine and that's actually a feature.
I have the same car,I really love it,it's good in the highway and in the city,very economic,and the best thing I love about it is that you won't hear anything when you're driving,just the tires like he said...
The thing I don't like is the audio systeme,that's it.

small niggles on comparisons. The Hyundai i10/Kia Picanto have a light in the trunk compartment. Something we take for granted which both the Wigo and Brio do not have.
Chevy Spark is waiting please. Picanto is the best hatchbacks. Ano sa palagay ang maganda Brio, Wigo, Picanto, Celerio, or Spark.
Had one like that before it guzzled gas much more than our SLK MERCEDES with a 2.4 engine
But Caco’s talking? Well its the best who cares about the picanto guzzler
Sorry guys, but the picanto consumes around 6.8 kms per liter on the city, and 15.5 kpl on the highway, just like any other cars. I should know, I have one. But the looks of picanto really stands out from the rest of hatchbacks.
They stopped production of the automatic at the KIA factory in South Korea just a year ago. So which model is this exactly?
