What happens if you don't wear spectacles or eyeglasses daily ?
The answer is divided in 2 parts
1) Age Below 13 Years
2) Age Above 13 Years
1) Age Below 13 Years
In this Age group, the whole body development occurs
If kids having refractive power, don't wear spectacles then brain which is yet developing receives blur signal from eyes
Due to this , eye remains under developed and it cannot see clearly
This condition is called Amblyopia or Lazy Eyes
Amblyopia or Lazy Eyes is difficult to treat in later age with spectacles , surgery or even eye Exercises, if spectacles are not worn under 13 Years of age
So below 13 Years of age , it is highly recommended to wear spectacles
2) Age Above 13 Years
In this age group , now if you don't wear spectacles, then you are not in chance to get Amblyopia or Lazy Eyes
But if you see blur , you may have asthenopic symptoms like Red Eyes , Watering Eyes , Headache or Eye Ache
If your spectacle power is less like +/- 0.50 or 0.75 , then it is ok , that you don't wear spectacles
But if you find difficulty in driving specially in evening or night , then you must wear spectacles only while driving or even watching distance things like Seminars , Blackboards etc
If your refractive power is more like +/- 1.00 or , then we recommended you to wear spectacles to avoid asthenopic symptoms
You can occasionally remove eyeglasses when you want like when you go in party
This will not harm your eyes in any way

I'm a 16 years old girl and a myopic patient. My spectacles power is -4.75 for both eyes and i never skip wearing glasses even in functions.
When i have consulted my doctor he checked and told that my eye is 6/6 but still i have eye defect (myopia)

+/- 2.25 if you don't wear , your distant vision will be between 6/60 to 6/24 unaided.(without specs)
Now if you don't wear any of below two things will happen
1) Eyes Muscles will work more to see clear. If eye muscles work more your vision can improve by 1 line like for example 6/24 to 6/18
But if eye muscles work more , it can cause Headache , Watery eyes etc
2) If eye muscles doesnot work more , you will not have Headache , Watery eyes complain, But you will see distant things Blur which can be risky in driving, walking, professional accuracy etc
So we recommended you to wear eyeglasses regularly
You can remove for occasional purposes which will not do any harm to your eyes

For Spectacle Price , You can buy TR Material Frame , it is unbreakable and flexible . This Frame will cost you around 250 to 300. And for your power lenses, you can buy for CR HC material, it will cost you again around 250 to 300
So total cost will be nearly 500 to 600
I would prefer you can arrange some Spectacle from government hospital. Many times they give spectacles for free

Yes, surely you can use phone while wearing spectacles as the lens in your glass would protect your eyes from harmful light rays coming from mobile 😊
