Thanks for checking out this video! These videos do take a lot of time & work to complete. I made a total of 19 rings in preparation for this episode. Next up: Encased Opals! The perfect gem for these bands.
Beginner here -- just started up torch for first time a few weeks ago. Question: What is the tool you used to extend the length of the short glass rod? I could use one of those! Question 2: Can I use my stainless steel ring rod (bought for metal work) to size the hot glass? Do I need to coat it with something or just make sure it is cold when I use it? Thanks!! Great stuff you do!
Thank you I appreciate you taking the time to do my requests. I think some Dichroic or even a mini marble could be fun gems. The ring size would be very helpful.
A couple of years back I saw a ring demo on lickmyglass's channel and this is much more realistic to my current skill and equipment. This is the perfect preface to that, I appreciate the wisdom, it's truly invaluable to a self taught glasshole ...the glass socks would be pretty gnarly to see in a future video though.
Hey Pfeifer, it is a very difficult technique. I think its a good challenge to practice but theirs probably easier ways to make the bands. Haha, I dunno about socks, glass slippers like from Cinderella Maybe..
Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials. I love your voice, I love your technique and I especially love how you teach your technique. Thank you kindly. Love always, Ty Hines
Hey Matt, I really enjoy your videos! Just wondering, you said something about Crayola orange in one of your videos. Do they still make it? I have some I would part with. I got it around 2005ish.
Hey Mandy, They do still make it however with a new method so it looks slightly different. They call it OJ like orange juice. I totally appreciate the offer but you should hang onto it, I'm saving up for some more shop equipment. I wanted to start selling online this year but I wasn't sure if it was a good time. Thanks for your comment and watching!
Hey Zac, thank you! Nah I've always been a bit of a lone wolf. Not seeing the family as much has been hard, but I feel I've made a lot progress here on the channel. These comments have been my source of social engagement so keep them coming. 🐺❤️

Hey Chris, your welcome. Thats a good idea, some dichro or a tiny vortex marble. Mine are kind of simple but you could really take this project far.
Can you post what glass you are using?

Я влюблена в это видео ❤
Do you sell these?
Sorry Sia Lee I don't sell these. It's more of an educational video to get people started on a new project. Thanks for asking.
fantasticccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc.
Next week on Matt Jasa "I'm making glass socks"
Just a joke or his next idea? Come back next week to find out
Haha, I'm not sure how I would put them on. I was thinking maybe some kind of shoe, like glass sandals!
That would be cool, probably not the most comfortable but would look cool
