Eurovision 2014: Azerbaijan openly displaying its racial discrimination during results announcement

- During the Grand Final of the Eurovision 2014 Azerbaijani representative Sabina Babyeva (representative of Azerbaijan on ESC 2012) over and over again repeats that 8 points from her country go to Greece (but in reality it is 8 points for Armenia) and the broadcasting company didn’t want to announce that since Azerbaijan is a dictatorship and Armenia and Armenians are the enemy #1 in the country.
It is very interesting that after such a political and as a fact fascist move Azerbaijan was NOT disqualified from the contest which might be connected to caviar diplomacy of Azerbaijan which includes bribes to European politicians and European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is not an exception.
As an Azerbaijani this made me so hard to watch without feeling anger and disgust towards that woman not being able to say “Armenia”
As an Armenian, thank you to acknowledge it is disgusting to see that level of state sponsored racism. I mean why tf regular Azerbaijanis should be represented this way even if it is just a rehearsal aka fake points? Absolute nonsense and stupidity

It's really embarrassing when you see a woman not saying the name "Armenia" so as not to give her points in a rehearsal this is for no reason other than that Armenia is a country at war with Azerbaijan and saying its name means "lack of patriotism". The amount of control of the Azerbaijani government has reached the maximum. Do you know that one day I searched if there is a name for Azerbaijan in Armenian and vice versa?Has the hatred reached this level?
Fortunately the war is over (so it is said) but we saw the Azerbaijani Eurovision website sending the Armenian song in an unusual move, I hope this problem ends forever and I respect both countries

This was just a rehearsal of the contest, countries were randomly assigned voting patterns just to test out how the contest should look, obviously they didn’t give 8 points to Armenia, they’d sooner resign from Eurovision than vote Armenia. The fact that even in an imaginary test run that means nothing they refuse to say the word “Armenia” is insane.
Sorry why she should say? The country called Armenia displaced more than 1 million Azerbaijanis from ancestral land and illegally invaded, destroyed and plundered 20km² with full of historical Azerbaijanjs sides, hundreds of villages, city centers-our homeland. And if she was armenian and refused to say the bame of Türkiye, you would support her

When I saw France with more than 70 points, I knew something was a bit off. In 2014, we finished last with only 2 points (1 from Sweden and 1 from Finland).

I'm profoundly feeling sorry for Armenians. Armenian land has been stolen lots of times. Millions of them were forced to leave or were killed by Turks. And now Azerbaijan, which is a fake Turkish country or satellite, whatever you want to call it, displaced 120,000 Armebians from Nagorny Karabakh just recently.

If you have been living under a rock the past few decades, then you should know that Armenia and Azerbaijan have been at war with each other for ages, it cannot be coincidence that they somehow had the wrong country down as 8 points.

Not really, Azerbaijan and Greece are chill with each other for the most part. In fact Greece was the pioneer in buying gas from Azerbaijan into the EU, and even gas aside Greece is one of Azerbaijan's key markets in the EU.
Just because they're closely related to Turkey, doesn't mean they follow the same politics as Turkey does in every single issue. For example, the Grey Wolves are considered as a terrorist organization by Azerbaijan (not by Turkey however), and Azerbaijan doesn't recognize Kosovo or even Northern Cyprus, which Turkey does. Likewise their dictator Aliyev, while he's more ruthless, corrupt and authoritarian than Erdogan, he's strangely less big on religious rhetoric than Erdogan is and apart from Armenians, Azerbaijan is relatively chill towards minorities there, which includes Russians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Georgians and Jews as well as some regional minorities like Tats and Talysh.
