I just listened to him on Fresh Air on May 4, 2020, and fell in love with this tender man who says he cries easily (I just cried today myself). So tender is his soul. I had no idea he would look so dapper & classic. Tender. Glad he’s on the planet & still alive.
i feel so strongly that tim gunn (and randy fenoli) are the fashion grand parents and mentors. not only in terms of what's in style, but also in terms of having a great understanding people and injecting self-confidence.
I just adore Tim Gunn. If he ever left Project Runway there would no reason to watch it. The Allstar seasons were so horrible because he was not there. I just love the way he says things. I would love to meet him one day. He is on my top 5 list of favorite celebrities.
I speak as a straight man " A lover of women " . My first impression of Mr. Gunn is that he appears to me as a man of EXCEPTIONAL CLASS, A man of STYLE , ELEGANCE, POISE, BRILLIANCE . A man without PEAR. His education and "inner-sense of himself " (he knows who he is ) are very well expressed in his appearance, presence, and how he moves and speaks. A REAL JEWEL . .....I say.. may the good lord give him greater blessings, a very long life and fullfillment of his hearts desire.
well at least when he criticizes something he does it whit style class and it's very brief he does not make obnoxius comments like joan rivers , I enjoyed it alot more when he was hosting the red carpet on sunday ,more than the fashion police on E , I dunno he feels more real and less of a bitter person than all the joan river team critics on fashion
I enjoyed his comments about the "sloppifcation of America". I cherish comfort just as much as anyone, but there is no need to look like a mess and wear hideous "shoes" (Crocs, yikes!). There are many things one can wear that are comfortable yet stylish.
He was absolutely spot on with his statement on footwear. As a truck driver, the sandals and crocs absolutely drive me crazy. Just because where you sleep is a couple feet behind where you drive, you shouldn't look like you just rolled out of bed 15 minutes ago. It's just not professional and why truck drivers have a bad reputation. Too many of us dress like slobs.

Kenley was so rude and what she failed to realize is the criticisms she received on the show were not only constructive but most people in fashion would KILL to have the opportunity to be critiqued by and given advice from big names in fashion like Tim Gunn and Michael Kors and it just pissed me she did not embrace that opportunity so she could better herself as a designer. She acts like she has already made it big and it's quite funny.

I like Tim on Project Runway--he is key for the show, and I really like what he has to say here!
