It is said that British accents change every 5-10 miles. My sister and I have a different accent despite being born in the same house. This is due to the county boarders changing in the 70’s.
Watching the videos made me get used with Lauren's accent , Emily's accent is really good , London's accent is the most popular , hardest for me = english cockney accent
When I was in London the funniest scene occurred. I was in a bus when a black man got into the bus. He almost immediately started to complain about something. Unfortunately, his accent was from another planet for me to understand what he was complaining about. The bus driver, also a black man, tried and tried to understand what was the first guy was saying, but he couldn't. Then first guy got really angry and started to scream at the driver. Suddenly another person in the bus, a very pale red hair guy, stood up and translated between both driver and passenger. And so the situation was defused without any sad incident. The funny part for me was, how is it possible that two persons, who don't speak with the same accent, can need a translator, with the third accent, that the three can understand, but can not reproduce. It's almost magical that in a single city there could be more than one accent, but certainly in London the situation is out of control if you need subtitles to understand others.
The only complaint I have is that I couldn't hear the accent examples very well. Maybe go to the clip, let us listen and then comment? A good fun video though, thanks.
5:04 We pronounce the "ch" differently in German. In the word "Nacht" (Night) you would have found the correct pronunciation of "ch". But for example, in the word "Nichte" (Niece), "ch" is pronounced completely differently.
I think since I started watching WF I pay more attention to accents and speech patterns. I’m becoming better at distinguishing where people are from and even where their parents are from because children often keep aspects of their parents’ way of speaking even if they grow up elsewhere.
according to my mom, in her state. people in her state learned to distinguishing which district they came from because each district has their own accent. I'm from Malaysia.
I'm still certain that the team is giving these guys the entry level Brit accents... I mean I'm sure there are accents from like Cumbria or actual dialects from Yorkshire which are totally incomprehensible to the general English speaking population.
Alreet, so in Newcastle we say ha'way, you need that 'h' in there. I divvint have a geet strong Geordie accent but my mam and dad do, my brother too. My mam uses words like 'yark' that people from other parts of Newcastle divvint kna, but we live in North Tyneside, so my brother's accent and my accent (when I'm drunk or really pissed off at the world) are the same as Sam Fender's more or less, he's from North Shields (which is also in North Tyneside). Perrie and Jade from Little Mix are from South Shields, so not that far from where I'm from.
Has anybody noticed that harry is the same person who was wearing glasses and had short hair in the early early videos in world friends!! Btw, Welcome back lauren and emily
Was it cold in the studio? Emily looked like she was freezing. Another fun video. I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles understanding some of the different accents in the UK
For me the hardest is Geordie 😂 when perrie talks at the first video I don't understand her, I watched that video multiple times but still don't get what she's saying 😂😂
FIRST HEY LAURAN N EMILY WELCOME BACK TO WORLD OF FRIEND'S N THIS WAS VERY INTERESTING N FUNNY 😁 😂 😀 😄 😆 🤣 (BUT NEVER EVER AT ALL IN A BAD WAY) MERRY/HAPPY BELATED CHRISTMAS 🎄 😀 😊TO ALL OF U N HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF U TOO LOVE FROM USA 🇺🇸 ❤️ ♥️ 💖 💕 💗
Can you guys try to pronounce the word sepercalifragilistispiralidoso from the Mary popping song to people from different countries it would be i triestini
I'm not from UK and this is how I view them as an inexperienced bloke in terms of the UK accents. They are not really that difficult to understand except Glaswegian. Everytime I say difficult, I mean when the accent is very thick. Bristol, Somerset, and Cornish are difficult to understand. Bristol, they sound like they are eating the words, they usually don't open their mouth and enunciate as much. Somerset, everything is just different from what the English I'm familiar with. Cornish is almost like Somerset but there's a lot of texture. Geordie is beautiful.
Funnily enough as a brit I've always found Glasgow accents fairly easy to understand (though I seem to be in a bit of a minority) although it can take a moment or two to pick up on the flow once I get my ear in it's an accent I can usually get to grips with pretty quickly. Though there are a fair few thicker UK accents I struggle with at least a bit it's usually dialect that I think causes the most confusion (at least within the UK) as it ranges from potentially more familiar things like "nae" = no to regional words like owt/nowt = anything/nothing that'll get you a blank stare across a good chunk of the country. And that's without getting into stuff like the "breadroll" debate.
Rather woeful attempts at ‘Brummie’ accents by these TH-camrs. I expected better from Lauren as there are some similarities in pronunciation and rhythm between Brummie and Scouse due to the Welsh and Irish influences on both (but Brummie’s better!😂).
Loved seeing perrie and Jade in the Gordie reaction segment
Emily's sitting pose always makes her look so relaxed
she's actually keep changing her posture just like me because it's very tiring in same position

Lucy from English with Lucy has a great accent.
Lauren, and Emily together, i press the like button automatically, lol
Yeah….Rihanna for me 😏
Lauren should have no difficulties with learning german pronounciation. She is doing great.
👍👍👍
Dutch will be easy for her
I 💕 Lauren
Good to see Lauren and Emily back in a video,❤
And it seems Harry has gotten a glow up, he grew out his hair and probably has contacts on.
Omg, I hadn't realised it's the guy from the older videos until I read this. He's totally changed, it's incredible XD
Watching the videos made me get used with Lauren's accent , Emily's accent is really good , London's accent is the most popular , hardest for me = english cockney accent
Yay the Beatles! I didn't expect them to appear in here anymore
Aye exactly 2 geordies I knew and love absolutely Jade and Perrie from Little Mix!
Happy New Year , ladies and gentleman , good see my favorite Lauren back , Peaky Blinders is one of my favorite shows
Lauren uses her Ts, she doesn't use glottal T like Wo-ah, she's from team wa-teh.
Love her accent. Very clear and proper!
I love that they used the train scene from a hard days night for the scouse accent! that’s my fav Beatles movie and my fav movie of all time! 😂

Likely at least one of them had a foreign accent
London is melting pot of different region who came to live there

It also depens on the region
@@julian.16 Not really. The soft and hard ch is in every region

This would be fun to do with the different American accents. Especially Cajun.
I wanna hear Minnesota and New England. 😄

I'm disappointed they never do Yorkshire in these
Glad to see Emily Lauren and Harry back in the video

I'm sat chuckling to myself because the subtitles for Peggy (when talking about eastenders) says Pay Gay ♡♡
I'm lgbt so this mistake made me smile lol
This is going to be Fun and nice to see lauren back
Has anybody noticed that harry is the same person who was wearing glasses and had short hair in the early early videos in world friends!!
Btw, Welcome back lauren and emily
Lauren shouldn't have too many difficulties learning Dutch. 😁 At least she has the hard G covered already.
Always is good to see Emily
i love how jade and perrie of little mix always represent the geordie accent in these videos 😂😭
I wanna hear more of that MLE accent spoken by the Desi guys. 😄
Rihanna being proper British...
The others: "Naw, that was beautiful."
Rihanna: "Sorry."
Best example of Cockney accent is Michael Caine's.
So cute; it's Cut without the pressure. That's why I watch this channel.
Was it cold in the studio? Emily looked like she was freezing. Another fun video. I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles understanding some of the different accents in the UK
everyone have long sleeve and she with her chest exposed. no wonder she freezing 😆

my favourite accent is London I'm live close to London and I understand it more and it just sounds nice to me
They should’ve invited Christina to come try the accent haha
You could have put the map to see where the accents were from because I don't know
Geordie is my hometown, Newcastle. The Northeast of England. The city is Newcastle-upon-Tyne if you want to look on a map ^_^
@@RobertHeslop Thank you
Cillian's accent wasn't anything like a Brummie accent at all.
Right... so we've got a Scary, Baby, Posh, & Ginger.
However we're missing a Sporty.
What is a Scary?
Goodness gracious, Emily
emily aqui novamente 🇧🇷🤞🏾
All Guy Ritchie movies...which I love
As a non native speaker, this whole video was very difficukt to understand.

Bert de la película Marry Poppins, está disfrazado de chinchinero. Un personaje tipico de la cultura Chilena 🇨🇱
It seems this movie, is very much interested?
I have a midlander accent, however I drop some of my letters and I somewhat speak in an irish accent or welsh accent too, but I can't do scottish
Yup, I too was like what the fuck is RP?? 🤣😂
Glaswegian is by far the most unintelligible and hard to make heads or tails of. Coming from a States-side English speaker.
Paul's grandfather is a bit of a mixer, he is, but in his defense, he's also very clean.
Amazing video

So, Scouse is basically Dutch!!! Good to know.
Rihanna is lovely!
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻, That was awesome!
React to the famous accent scene in Hot Fuzz
The Beatles!!!
BTW Where’s Mancunian? lol
Miss Emily ❤❤❤
What I learned:
the letter R is very hard
Brits hate themselves
At the ends of a word it’s strange to roll for many in England and Wales.
Yes, we hate ourselves for the fun of it.
