      Yes, the gearing is usually 4.88 or 5.13 so 40-45 mph is the top speed. There is a option to add overdrive that bolts to the transfer case.

    Use a V6, short overall length and low overall height if you want to keep the stock frame & wheelbase.

    • @QuickSpeedShop
      @QuickSpeedShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is an option. Probably could fit a 4.3L Chevy in there with an adapter to the T-90. Could also go the sixties route and swap in the odd fire Buick V6 from an early CJ.

      That's what happens sometimes. Its super cool, but someone else is going to have to finish it.

      @@jamesfreeman1417 I'm going to be selling it for him. As far as I know there isn't a title with it, but will come with NY state form showing ownership and bill of sale. I think he wants around $3000. These are pretty rare. FC-150 only made '57-'60. You can email me at quickspeedshop@gmail.com.

    Good decision to stop. It would probably be best to leave it all apart since the next guy will have to do that anyway. Save yourself a LOT of work.
    FWIW, for your long time subscribers, we've seen quite a bit of the white Ford and it's in the background of most videos. You have the better body parts on it already. If you don't want to deal with the more modern engine management stuff, swap in an old school 302 or something, BUT, get that on the road and send the green daily beater out front with a sign. Time to jump ahead a couple of decades!! That could be a relatively short and easy build you can do for your channel and would provide you with a better daily beater.
    Back in the J.C. Whitney days, there used to be a nice Fiberglas body you could get for a JC = 1 inch thick!! Why not build a daily driver like that? To make it a year-round driver, you could hunt up a hard top for it too.

      I had to put it back together because that was part of the deal. As per the white truck, no, thats going down the road. Never selling the green truck, I love it. I'll run it until it breaks in half. Done with vehicles newer than 1996. No more OBD-II plug in bullshit for me!

    I mean just make it work? Mine is going on a f350 with a 7.3 diesel.
    If you don't want to build it sell it to me, I have bought 9 Fc's in the last year

    • @QuickSpeedShop
      @QuickSpeedShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sold it back in August. Wasn't going to work with the parameters the owner gave me to work with so he pulled the plug.

      @@QuickSpeedShop gotcha so it was a customers build.
      I hate making shit for other people lol. Thats why I only make shit I like then if someone wants they can buy it after. If they want to make changes they have to own it first.
