- In today video I decided to REVISIT Punishing Gray Raven as a Wuthering Waves player, I remember playing the game some time ago but never truly gave the game a chance! So if this video gets 50 likes, I will continue to do more Punishing Gray Raven story like content or PGR content in General.

I'll be real, the new character Alisa is free, so just play and obtain her for free, is what I'd recommend. Spenders and veteran players will summon 1 copy and then rank her up to SSS rank easier as a strategy, but if you're just starting the game, I'd say it's better to just buy the 50 free fragments that will unlock her from the Dorm Dispatch missions. No gacha summons necessary for this girl.

@@R1L1. yeah pretty much I have a busy life so having too many gacha especially open world is hard to keep up with compared to PGR since it’s instant action. I also picked up ZZZ and found the quick in and out to be easier on my schedule than WuWa
Funniest part is that Arisa is a "support", but her ult animation is an excaliblast

- Parring system as a whole.
- The infernal rider sequence is a more polished take on the train sequence in PGR ch10
- The Aix chase sequence is a more polished take on the starship sequence in PGR ch9
- The use of the grappling hook is a more polished take on the PGR extra Kowloon chapters.
PGR is their conceptual testing ground and WuWa takes what they have learned in PGR and polishes it further.

PGR is far more friendly than any other gacha games, but dont know some people dont like it. for me i fall in love with this game since early untill this day... as i know the kuro generous as always that makes me only spend my money on their game
the game will give u guaranteed character which is good, u can pull on any char that u like the most

Friendly to player, not so friendly to the characters
Once you unlock training mode (i forgot when) you can freely try every single characters released so far to see if their gameplay is to your liking (or just to gush about their animations haha).
And also if you want alisa, she's permanently free to obtain from the dorm so yay :)

@@Prodigal450 how though ? All you gotta do is dorm commissions which is basically sending troops away for a few hours and that's it, and it's not even like you can't use those units you sent in other gamemodes..
@@Prodigal450 yup by though meaning days and days of sending out daily commissions to get that 100k commission currency to get all her 50 shards from the dorm shop same for Kaleido as well anothet 100k but all worth for those free gen 2 amplifiers
Time to play PGR again, Kinda miss it after playing WuWa.
He actually manage to get Alpha down to 10-11 bar on his first try ☠️
Granted he did play it long ago but if he did that without having any memories of Alpha moveset then damn that's some skills and no skills right there, your dodge bar was red most of the time hence why you couldn't dodge and you technically win if you get Alpha down to 4 bar cuz at 4 bar Alpha will slash you and the animation plays so... I guess that's a win in a way
And also a small explanation
PGR have a simple system that gets complex with more update while WuWa already have a more complex system so in a way PGR will actually feel a bit harder than WuWa because some characters weren't made with Parry in mind so the later bosses with Parry will be extremely difficult if you don't have some of the new characters while in WuWa everyone was made with Parry in mind so the difficulty depend on how well you can control said character more than the character itself, PGR newer characters have in their moveset to counter the boss difficulty like just take a look at Veronica boss fight what the fuck is even that boss fight, some of the bosses here require you to learn their moveset to the fullest especially the hard one and then the direction that you dodge also matters the best example would be *Trailblazer* his 4 hit combo require 4 perfect dodge and 4 dodge is really going to kill your dodge bar also one where he fly up and does 3 shot with different timing then fly down slice you then fly up and charge up his super wide slash and he also have 2 move that will either kill you on hit or nearly kill you if you dodge in the wrong the direction
- His Projectile slash will drag you along dealing massive damage so you have to dodge to both side and far enough dodging forward is a gamble because wrong timing and it will pull you along and dodging backwards is out of the question
- His second death move is machine gun punch where dodging Back - Left - Right could kill you if you didn't dodge far enough and dodging forward is a death sentence

The only downside of PGR and thing that filters out alot of players is ... "the early game experience" because that is how the game used to look at the beggning but mid game and late game in story is totally different in quality.
Played Genshin since first patch and got a few burnouts. Stop playing mid Fontaine and found PGR.
Struggling with the animation (Genshin felt more fluid, at first.) After that I can't get back to Genshin. The PGR combat is so satisfying.

The early game of PGR is generally considered “suck” when compared to the rest the game. Once you get through the early, it’s when the game shines both gameplay and story wise.
@@HH-kr4fv gotcha! I'm really excited then. I've been playing gacha games for a decade at this point and I'm familiar with the lackluster early game -> really fun endgame pipeline haha! The super early story does feel kind of generic, but I still like the characters themselves to where I'm still reading everything and excited to see where things go
PGR is slow burner, Im 3 months into it and this honeymoon phase just keep climbing. Best gacha I played except Kings Raid.

her role is supporter btw. Never seen any support do this in any games
Just so you know if you’re planning keep playing, alot of people consider chapter 1-8’s story to be mediocre, i highly recommend you still read the story if you can stand it, but most people just skip

I started playing PGR last year took a break till the Crimson Weave patch and now I'm very much enjoying it daily along side Wuwa and the other gatchas. Have to say the first 8 chapters till we went in that space station where very rough to get past in the story especially coming from HI3rd P1's finally at the time and HSR Belabog story line witch are both super peak.The combat itself carried my interest in PGR but once we go to space the story really picks up and is super interesting love this game. Kind of same with Wuwa's first 3 chapters past the 4th one is where its at and going strong ^_^

I started my first account during the Nier patch, but due to my studies I stopped playing for a year or so, when I again downloaded during the previous year, I found that I lost my old account cause Pgr isn't available in my region, anything can happen, started a new account previous year and luckily there are no issues and I'm safe at Level 108. I started during July 2022 and after losing account I started again exactly at July 2023. And now it's been exactly 1 year since I started Pgr on my new account.

Started pgr at the end of frozen darkness/first update. Made like 12 student accounts for reasons and failed 12x on the intro fight. Yes the dmg is a pain to look at early game, but its doable just be patient. Also that aint even as hard as other bosses

Some notes:
- Seeing you ping orbs one by one was painful,please ping only triples
- The gacha in pgr is less gambling and more pay 15k currency to get the character, i never got a character before pity,and there is no soft pity on the 60 pull banner. Theres the 80~100 banner but its effectively a scam

@@Aruzien The 3Ping System is the very core of PGR's combat and absolutely essential to use a character's core skill, the equivalent of forte skills in WuWa.
PGR the only game I'm still loyal to till this day I started on the global server. And I play on the PC client with a controller. Very smooth.
i just gonna say if you want a huge luck pool you must do 1 ten pulls in annivesary bannner (which i got hyperlee n his sig weapon in 1 ten pulls) then proceed to get her CUB,but for this banner is a saving patch,and you need 100k of one of dorm currency to get 50 fragment of Echo
wait till you get to bosses, theyre so fun to fight .
The fact you can get alisa for free, so keep your black card for next patch
A game that has a Nier collab is a good game
besides combat, PGR's plot is really good although it didn't reach its peak until chapter 9, I had to go online to learn terms like "what is construct" "what is MIND" etc. then I could understand more about the world and found it really good and portrayed a cruel but interesting post-apocalyptic world, reading side quests about the characters' pasts was very touching
At 0:00 to 1:45 kinda reminds me of Nier automata
Alisa is free btw u can collect the shard in dorm commission shop...it just tap n claim commission task to get the resource of the shop...n if u aldy enjoy Alisa this much...wait next patch Lamia has better than Alisa combat haha

Its fine, PGR is a niche game. An Hoyo enjoyer would probably drop the game after reading Selena: Tempest or c17. Its just that dark but also epic and... Heroic.
