  • I'll do the hardest 4 plugs so you can see exactly what you need to get it done. Benefit from my learning as it's my first time doing these as well. The Notorious 16 spark plug HEMIs

    Patience and the right kind of spark socket is key. Changing my plugs again this weekend. 193k miles on my 2014 Ram 1500. Fun times ahead 😂. Great Video.

    I leave the coil packs plugged in. That socket is cool. Simple u joint or pivot type attachment works fine just behind a regular spark plug socket. The electric ratchet makes short work of most of the project. 👍

    Really appreciate your video and visually showing how you worked on the difficult ones. Only video I've seen so far giving a visual rather than just explaining it. Good work and thanks.

  • @shepherdguy
    @shepherdguy ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Yes, you did get two of the hardest ones, the #8 and the #7, but you didn't show us what IMHO is the very hardest...the #5 cylinder. Your power ratchet won't fit between the coil and brake booster, and using an adapter to the 1/2" ratchet may also be too long to get between them. In my experience, an 8mm box wrench works best on the #5. Also, if you are willing to remove the plastic fender wells, the jobs a bit easier from underneath. Just my opinion - the job can certainly be completed the way you did it.

    I never unplug the coil packs, there is no point - just pull them out and leave them plugged in, half the time you try to unsnap them they crack and break anyway, and now you need a new wiring harness

  • @Sage-cw2hy

    This is my first time changing plugs on my 15' ram 1500. Normally I just buy them from the store for my 4cy. But seeing they take 16 I was curious about Amazon because of the price. I have read about people about fakes. What is your experience and where do you buy your plugs from. At this point since I do only the best for my truck I will spend the extra $ and go to the retailer. I'm just curious about other people's experiences.
