The conversation about miracles around minutes 43 to 48 hit me deep. I've been trying to build a relationship with God and religion these past few years but it's a struggle as I'm filled with doubt, and I often wish I could have a "sign" from God. I'm jealous of born again Christians who have stories of miracles or God speaking to them as it seems like they were "hit" with faith and have never faced any doubts since then. Kirk's story made me realize that I too had a complete and very quick change of heart, like suddenly my tastes and preferences matched the scripture when they definitely didn't before. And I've been waiting for a sign that I've already received but ignored. Anyways sorry for the long comment but this segment made my heart feel lighter and I'm grateful for these 2 great men 💜
Focus on prayer and Bible study. I don't know how to have a relationship with religion. But God desires that - He wants us to know Him intimately. I think the word religious which means simply doing a thing with regularity has come to mean so many things, it's not as useful as the word relationship. But it is so important to go to a great church and be around other people who are also seeking what you're seeking. I feel the lack of church and fellowship in my life, it is so hard to do it all alone.
I would encourage you to get into the Word daily, if you aren't already. I think you'll find, like you're saying, your change of heart (being made a new creation) more and more miraculous every time. The Word of God is living and active! I'm grateful that conversation had an impact for you and will br praying for you sister!

I have learned so much even when I thought I knew God's word. Something that helped me also was watching Ron Wyatts Discoveries documentary on TH-cam. It goes through biblical historical artifacts that have been discovered & it's so interesting! I really enjoyed this. I've always been a fan, but as a Catholic I've never agreed with Kirk's theology. However, I truly respect him for his devotion to Christ and to the Gospel. He seems like a very nice, gracious, and generous guy. This was blatantly obvious when the conversation went to the Saints and the Catholic practice of praying to them for intercession. He not only firmly conveyed his Protestant beliefs, but respected the Michael's Catholic belief about praying to the Saints (not worshiping, by the way). God Bless Kirk and his not only spreading the Gospel, but boldly living it. I think we can all take something from his courage!

The whole protestant view of the praying to the saints is necromancy was interesting to watch Michael navigate. Kirk didn't hold back and didn't budge on his view of that practice and I find that so honorable. The fact that they can agree to disagree and still love each other despite their theological differences and peacefully make their opposing views known is refreshing.

Why? It's idolatry, it's heartbreaking. My favorite living author had a podcast for a while & one that stayed with me was called Jesus Plus Nothing Equals Everything. Just Jesus. No church fathers, no eating fish on Friday. God made it so easy by doing something so unimaginably hard & horrible - being fully human and dying that terrible death. Why would humans add to it and make it all so hard? I don't understand. Getting to talk and listen to God is the best. I've been praying for 50 years, it still blows my mind. God loves us so incredibly much.

They show us how the people directly taught by the apostles believed, and their understanding of doctrine was universally the same. Further, as I mentioned, Jesus himself believed and taught that we should ask for the prayers of the righteous deceased, who, as he also taught, are more alive than we are, and whose fervent prayers, as men and women who are now more righteous than we are, avail at least as much as ours, and who, as shown in the book of Revelation, are continually presenting the prayers of those on earth to the Father. He himself is the one who told us of a man begging Abraham to intercede for him from heaven. (That man's request was of no use, but it is completely clear that this is because he's actually already in hell, and it's too late for him for anyone to help him.)

The problem I have as a Protestant with praying to saints is that it necessarily imbues the saints with attributes of omnipresence and/or omniscience (because how else would they hear your prayers?) but the Bible only gives those attributes to God.
Me too. I'm open to it but that's a huge obstacle. I'll point out even angels seem to be delegated by God and not aware directly themselves of people's needs etc.

As far as the adultery situation is concerned, it doesn't even what's in your heart. You're not supposed to do that act with somebody. You have made yourself one with another and that is breaking it. The only way that that act wouldn't be adultery is if it was forced upon you.

I’ve watched multiple single or working moms homeschool or use a church Christian school. A huge factor is if you have full custody. Edit: if you don’t have a good church, I would say it would be insanely difficult.

God has not changed me as an individual. God has said to me, I AM HERE, when I made it thru 2 car crashes that I ,ABSOLUTELY, should not have lived thru. Septic shock pregnant with twins and dying, me and one child survive. Giving birth, 3 days later crawling to the er, told I need a blood transfusion and the er discharching me with no care, going home and healing. God is in our every day lives. We survive the impossible by Gods grace.

About the adultery question, Neil McDonough has a really healthy perspective on the topic of on screen romance. He said (paraphrasing here) that he could pretend to fight or pretend to be a lawyer, but if he pretended to sleep with a woman who is not his wife, even though he's technically not doing the deed, he IS kissing another woman, and he IS naked in a bed with her. There are some lines a Christian actor just can't cross. God bless him, what a great answer.

As far as the adultery situation is concerned, it doesn't even what's in your heart. You're not supposed to do that act with somebody. You have made yourself one with another and that is breaking it. The only way that that act wouldn't be adultery is if it was forced upon you.
I think Kirk's answer related to AI regulations that ended with their agreement that a people who doesn't conduct themselves by essentially the golden rule are not fit for freedom is what all the other issues of our day boil down to. It seems as though humanity has reached the age that will determine whether or not it will graduate to adulthood or halt the progression.

It actually says the name of the town they were building as slaves and the town where Joseph built his grain silos generations earlier. Neither are the Pyramids. As for "pre flood" pyramids, they are made of limestone. That is a type of stone formed by the accumulation of shells, corals, algae, etc. deposited at the bottom of the ocean and compressed by the weight of deep water... In other words, the stone the pyramids are made of was formed by a flood like event that submerged Egypt where the stone was quarried. So, it is most likely the pyramids were built after the flood, but long before Joseph.

I’ve watched multiple single or working moms homeschool or use a church Christian school. A huge factor is if you have full custody.
Edit: if you don’t have a good church, I would say it would be insanely difficult.

I would definitely consider them traditional wives, but NOT part of the "trad wife" cosplay that is popular right now, which is more what I think they were alluding to here. "Trad wives" in that sense are playing 50's housewives for clicks and attention, rather than bringing in income by filming their daily lives. Huge difference.

God has not changed me as an individual. God has said to me, I AM HERE, when I made it thru 2 car crashes that I ,ABSOLUTELY, should not have lived thru. Septic shock pregnant with twins and dying, me and one child survive. Giving birth, 3 days later crawling to the er, told I need a blood transfusion and the er discharching me with no care, going home and healing. God is in our every day lives. We survive the impossible by Gods grace.
