    The Tram was pricey but worth the cost (at least once) when you see all the breathtaking views on top. We walked the trails and saw so many awesome sites. I highly recommend it!

    I heard there was a tram in Juneau. I assumed it went up the mountainside on rails. I didn't realise that what you call a tram is what we call a cable car. Anyway, I went up and walked down a trail to Basin Road. This video brings back happy memories so thanks.

    This is something I would love to do someday when we get back to Juneau! The dramatic music as you were "falling" was fun!! Nicely edited video and very informative!

    Hey, thanks for bringing us along on the tram ride to Mount Roberts. I did that when I went to Alaska in 2015 and the weather was cool and very overcast and drizzly almost raining so I kind of stayed inside and those off while watching the movie in the theater

    Thanks for showing us the tram and mountain in Juneau. I was wondering if it would be worth $50. But $70 for lunch!!! Whew! Guess I’d better carry my wallet when we go next year. Looking forward to the next video.

    So fun fact if you hike up to the tram and buy at least $10 worth of stuff that counts as your ticket to ride down.

    Thanks for this informative video. Did you notice if there were any picnic areas?

      I didn't see any when I was there but there is a giftshop/Cafe area at the top of the tram you can eat at and multiple wooden lookout spots you could eat on the ground of if it's dry.

    Amazing how many winter coats I see. Not a single day can I remember wearing a winter coat! Sweater and sweatshirt...

    Always love doing Mt Robert's on our yearly Alaskan cruise,the price has gone up so much,i remember paying $20.00 the first time,you also get 10% discount if ex or active military..The secret of avoiding the crowd is to go late,was there two weeks ago,and was only 8 people on the mountain.no lines for tram...The restaurant prices are also expensive,2 pints of beer $18.00.I won't eat there or in town,complete rip off....One pound of King crab with two sides $70.00....I get King crab on sale in Florida for $15.00/lb...same exact crabs....also all the salmon you get is frozen because during the cruise season,salmon is not running....and they charge you so much when they caught it themselves,so big profit...plus the salmon dies after spawning,so people just pick them up...Also when ship is in port the taxes are 3% higher...we keep getting the shaft.

    I've never understood the need to purchase expensive food in these ports when you have plenty of great food on the Ship

      We usually prefer to go back to the ship to eat as well...but we splurged this time!!! Thanks for watching William!!!

    Hello guys, thanks for such a great video! Amazigly informative, as always. I guess $50 for a tram ride round-trip? How long it takes to get up and down? We are going to be there is less that 2 weeks on Carnival Luminosa, cant wait for our first cruise to Alaska! Planning to take the tram after seeing Mendenhall, but not sure if we can squeeze it in. Thank you again!

    How far a walk was it from carnival ship to the tram? Going with my 83 year old parents in May and they want to do this.

    • @SharonatSeaTravel
      @SharonatSeaTravel  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It was a fairly short walk from where our ship docked, all flat sidewalk, so easy to navigate. Less than 10 minutes. Thanks for watching!!

    Hi and thanks for your video. I will be in Juneau in Aug. on Princess and was considering the tram ride. I believe the current price is $55 per person. And although the views are amazing, I feel that this is too expensive for what it is. Another poster said the tram used to be $25-30. I don't know how long ago that was, but that is certainly a better price for the experience. I will keep my feet on the ground...lol

    • @SharonatSeaTravel

      We agree, the price, and the tram ride, are both pretty steep!! Thanks for watching!!!

    Hi Sharon….. 3 questions…..was there a line to get on the tram going up and what time of day was it?….. Also, Do you think a folding walker could be brought on the tram? Thank you so much and thank you for the video! :)

    • @SharonatSeaTravel
      @SharonatSeaTravel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was late morning, no line at all and yes, a folding walker should be just fine on the tram. Thanks for watching!!

    Ah the great tourist trap scam tram. Expensive. But if it’s a clear day I’ll probably go for it. Just researching what to do in Juneau. The cruise that I choose will have long port times.
