    I got my k6 pro yesterday and it feels like a dream~ Keychron is really upping their quality since the Q line, especially after Q1V2. I really like the silicone pad in the bottom and the foam between the PCB and the plates -- it sounds so nice.

    Wow, the thing that stood out to me the most is actually how well the stabilizers sound compared to the non pro models of the keyboards. Didn't hear much rattle and I think with some extra lube, they'd be really good. Anyways, good video!

    I recently purchased a Keychron K7. The K7 is advertised as "wireless". It is actually Bluetooth (same frequency band, different protocols). Connected to my system with supplied (too short) USB cable. Multiple keys do not work. Keychron sent me a link to a website designed to test keyboards. I sent a screenshot of the results to Keychron. Keychron demands a video showing the keyboard and screen proving that I did not falsify the test results. The product is sold "as is" - there is no warranty. Tried to get an RMA number and a return shipping label. If the keys do NOT work, the feel DOES NOT MATTER, and the reliability DOES NOT MATTER! If this is the way they treat their customers, do not expect them to be there in a few years.
    I have never had a company demand that I provide a video proving that I did not falsify their test data. Look at their "service" non-warranty. They specify "as-is". They do not guarantee that their products work to any extent. And they refuse any responsibility for what happens when you use their product. The laws in Hong Kong must be very different.
    The reason some keys do not work could possibly be defects in design or manufacturing. More likely, the firmware does not conform to the USB Human Interface Device (HID) standard.
    Since they take an adversarial position to customer complaints, I do not see them lasting very long. Other manufacturers can make (or buy) red optical switches. Do not expect Keychron to be there when you have problems in 5 or 10 years.
    I have demanded that, for the video, they must send a cameraman and equipment and pay me my consultant fee for demonstrating that their keyboard does not work. I have also demanded a written apology from the CEO and an immediate refund.
    Other manufacturers should re-think the Windows and Apple-only policies. Given that iOS is a facade sitting on top of embedded Ubuntu Linux (eLinux), Android is a facade on top of eLinux, Chrome OS is a facade on top of eLinux, OS X for the M1 is probably a facade on top of eLinux, and Windows for the ARM is a facade on top of eLinux, supporting Linux might be a good idea.
    Apparently, Keychron does not have a Customer Service Department. I did receive an email claiming that if I sent the defective keyboard to their warehouse, I would get a refund. I emailed back, "What is the address of your warehouse?" They eventually gave me the mailing address.
    On September 10 I sent the keyboard back. As of December 16, no refund and no keyboard.

    Hi, if I want, can I change the keycaps with something else? There are standards? Sorry for the obvious question but I'm very new in this keyboard world, and I still searching for my first mechanical keyboard. There is a white or silver/grey frame for this keyboard? Do you know a keyboard with the same features (wireless, backlit, 60%, hot-swappable) in another colour and the same price as this?

    • @disarmyouwitha
      @disarmyouwitha 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can absolutely change out the keycaps. =] Since it's hot-swappable you can also change out the switches!
      I think they K6 pro is only black, but you could check out some of Keychron's other boards:
      www.keychron.com/blogs/news/difference-among-keychron-keyboards
      Specifically, you might like the Keychron Q2 which comes in different colors as well as knob/no knob (The knob is so nice) but it's ~$180

    Thnx for the Review. One question. In all the K6 Pro Reviews so far it looks like only the keyboard is lit but not the caps. In pics and videos of the K6 the caps are lit. My son would like to get a K6 Pro for christmas. Though he already put custom caps on his list as well. Does it depend on buying the right caps if you want them to be lit as well? Hopefully i put my issue the right way, since english ain't my mother tongue. Feedback is appreciated.

      @escalibur8437 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EnforcerMan ... I appreciate your answer. Thnx. In the meantime I researched a bit more and so far I've come to the conclusion that it's a bit of a pain to find shine through caps. I mean Keychron offers a set themselves but if you prefer third party customs in specific designs... not that easy anymore.
      Anyway, have a great weekend and stay safe.

      @@escalibur8437good quality pbt printed keycaps should be all you need. The backlight of the monitor is gonna be more than enough to see the keys. On the V4 I can see the keys with very minimal light on a nightlight setting with my lightbar all the way in the corner. Realistically. You are going to be in front of a light source (aka monitor) so i wouldnt worry too much about shine through.

    It looks like a nice keyboard, but I'm not a fan of those keycaps. They should've made the letters translucent. That RGB lighting is aesthetic, I guess, but it serves no function if it doesn't help you see the keys.

      My understanding is that with QMK you can remap anything to anything, and since it is firmware on the keyboard itself, those maps will apply anywhere. So you could reprogram it on one PC and it's going to work as expected on all your devices (like when connected via Bluetooth to your phone)
