    Great video. If you have overspill on beasel after curing,how do you clean it?

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You have to clean it before curing, that's why I work using more layers of epoxy resin, to avoid overspilling on the edges.

      What do you use to remove uncured resin from the syringe? Thank you!@@JustHandmade

    Hi ur video is amazing but i had a question is how do you stop resin drips coming out of your pendants

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! For these closed back bezels you must work with more layers of epoxy resin (2-3 layers), so that it wouldn't drip. Hope this was helpful!

    How does the resin not overflow and run down the sides of pendant? I'm confused, how does it have a perfect convex surface on top?

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, it depends on the edges of the closed back bezel. The best way to achieve a convex surface on top and that the resin wouldn't run down is to add the resin in 2-3 layers. Here is a tutorial where I'm adding the resin in layers: th-cam.com/video/nyS_cC45Kco/w-d-xo.html .Hope this was helpful!

    Which color of the galaxy flakes is that? I love it! Really almost looks like an opal. When I work from bottom to top, the top layer always gets dull and cloudy after just a few weeks. Happens with every resin I use.

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is "vesta purple" from Pentart. I really love these iridiscent flakes, they look great in resin. I believe it's the resin you're using, I'm using Crystal resin Gedeo from Pebeo, and it looks wonderful, even after more months.

    • @OrangeTabbyCat
      @OrangeTabbyCat 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      JustHandmade I've had that one too, same thing happened. It happened with five different resins. Only when the upper side is front of the pendant. Thanks for the info about the flakes. I made my own colored flakes with shaved ice flakes and alcohol inks, but the mostly lose the iridescence. Do you have all the colors? they all look great!

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome! I don't have all the colors, only 4-5, but they look great in resin. Maybe it's not the resin, but something you put in the resin, I had that problem with some flowers I bought (they lost their color in resin, and the resin became yellow)...

    Don't we need a mould to pour resin? Can we do it directly in the bezel?

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can pour resin directly in the bezel, there is no need for a silicone mold, but sometimes it is necessary to apply 2-3 layers. You can watch my other videos, where I am not using a mold to make epoxy resin jewelry: th-cam.com/video/upfeSLPxYdI/w-d-xo.html ; th-cam.com/video/hEzcH3Z55FI/w-d-xo.html . Hope this was helpful!

      @@JustHandmade thanks for Ur response mam. Could u please make a video showing how to make a jewellery in mould with black background ( pigment) and fix it in a closed bezel.

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome! To make a jewelry in a silicone mold and then fix it in a closed bezel, you have to have a cabochon mold in the exact dimension as the closed bezel, and unfortunately I don't have this kind of mold. In this video you can find some closed back bezels made with a darker background (pigment): th-cam.com/video/wd-lcMOnVuc/w-d-xo.html . Anyway, I will post soon other videos with epoxy resin jewelry with open and closed bezels!

    How much resin and hardener do I use?

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This information is usually written on the instructions of the epoxy resin that you're using. My epoxy resin has the ratio 2:1 (To achieve the correct 2:1 mix ratio by volume, simply measure out 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener before mixing the components). Here is a tutorial where you can see more clearly the quantities I'm using for epoxy resin jewelry: th-cam.com/video/0UQ7e1NITq4/w-d-xo.html. Hope this was helpful!

    So we don't necessarily need a mold and can do it directly on the bezel?

    • @JustHandmade
      @JustHandmade  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can pour the resin directly into the open bezel. However, for a better result, I recommend adding two or three layers (If you pour too much resin it may leak). Hope this was helpful!
