Make sure you keep going back to talk to the wolf guy about the carts. When you dismantle the fire stuff (you'll know when you have) go back to the big circle and find your way to the secret area. Also go back to the cart with the whip for a new transformation. You missed a boss before the cloudy mist duo fight to the left before you go up the hill.

Go back and talk to that first guy you fought at the start of this chapter about the carts, exhaust his dialogue and then go to the place you killed the cart at the end of this video and he will be there and then exhaust all his dialogue again, only after doing that can you access the secret area near the end of the chapter
