Agnosticism is not a middle ground. Theism is the affirmation of the existence of a god, if you don't positively say "god exists" you're an atheist. I do not affirm the existence of a god, I am therefore an atheist. Whether I am open to evidence that I'm wrong or not doesn't change my current status as an athiest. There are agnostic theists. there are agnostic atheists

That God is the one Creator who created everything!

Forrest is an educator, of course he wants people to have good reasons for their beliefs, but he won't force his perspectives on others, just won't spend a dollar allotted for science education on religion, because he'd consider that unethical. I think that's pretty much his point, no? The idea being that what you believe, or think, or whatever brain state you have is fine, as long as it doesn't get pushed onto anyone else.

He doesn't care about what people believe, as long as it doesn't prevent them from being good scientists or good people in general. Forrest is an educator, of course he wants people to have good reasons for their beliefs, but he won't force his perspectives on others, just won't spend a dollar allotted for science education on religion, because he'd consider that unethical.
