- This sidewalk was pretty much impossible to use. We watched many people walking on the street including kids walking home from school. Now that we recovered the sidewalk it will be much safer.

It is absolutely ridiculous that the city doesn't do anything about this! I would be so mad if I were a resident in this community and the city didn't clean this up. You two are awesome for cutting this and helping this community out! Take care and God bless!
I agree. He said at the beginning that it had a code violation, but that area, especially with the fence around the property line, looks like it belongs to the city and is their responsibility to maintain. The city is also responsible to make sure drainage ditches are clear.
How on earth was this area allowed to get so overgrown, its a public footpath! That's crazy. What a fantastic job you guys have done. Brilliant.

Great work guys. Appreciate what you do! Quick suggestion though, keep a can or two of Safety Orange spray paint in your truck. That one section of sidewalk that was buckled gives way to a major trip point. Looks like 3 or more inches of height difference. Spray those joints so that pedestrians can see it while walking. This also gives the city a visual indicator that maintenance needs to be done there.

From the light in the sky, it seems you guys are doing this work after your regular work hours. Which is amazing, since the heat/humidity are still awful, especially near the coast. The City can impose notices and fines for private lots and property, but public sidewalks, paths and parks are their responsibility. So you guys are doing the work that City Employees are getting paid for. Shame on them and good for you. You can't tell it was a disaster before you got there. Always perfect work guys.
Most sidewalks are the responsibility of the landowner, rather than the municipality. However, they could be more proactive in fining, etc.
I'm sure shaming the city has really made them hang their heads and vow to do better. 😂
The amazing duo did it again! What a breath of fresh air for the neighborhood. That cleanup not only made the path safer, it helped the drainage and traffic visibility. I also praise you for always removing the garbage BEFORE mowing and turning it into confetti. You are the best!

Amazing transformation! As one who pushes a stroller with loved grandchildren, I am uncomfortable when I have to go off the sidewalk because of cars parked across the sidewalk or grasses like that making it impossible to stay safe and off the road.

I watch a lot of yard transformation videos, and you guys are my favorite 😊 I love how you pick up the thick grass… the others call it mulching or the clippings are good for the grass, but not when it’s overgrown, it chokes out the good grass underneath..
