  • In part 2 of our series on the relationship between the Black, Jewish and Arab communities, Donovan continues his conversation with Nina Kharoufeh, Palestinian stand-up comedian and amateur boxer. This episode dives deeper into the dynamics of identity and activism in the context of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Nina shares her unique perspective on the conflation of Judaism and Zionism, the prevalence of racism in the Arab world, and the impact these issues have on the fight for Palestinian liberation. How do these complexities shape our understanding and actions? How does social media play a role in shifting societal views?
Join us as we explore the courage it takes to speak out against injustice and the essential role of cross-cultural coalitions in striving for a free Palestine.
Shout out to Queen for blessing us with a special visit.

Yayyyy Queen!🤗 She really hit the nail on the head with her comment. I too was surprised and hurt when Nina made the comment "Now I understand" with reference to the injustice that black people experience on a daily basis. It made me think to myself that the term "People of Colour" should really be eradicated from the English language. Our experiences are wayyyy more different than I ever imagined.
I commend Nina for her bravery and her relentless advocacy for Palestinians, despite all of the backlash she may receive. I stand with Palestine as well as other war torn countries experiencing mass displacement and genocide such as Sudan and DRC💗. They remain in my thoughts and prayers🙏🏿

Wow. Thank you for this thoughtful response to the video! I think it is safe to say that most people do not know what it is like to be in a Black body and as we can see, this system will not just stop at Black folks. We all need to be freed and I hope it wont take everyone experiencing such violence and injustice for them to truly understand.
