    Great video! This is exactly the problem I think I have. I’m optimistic about repairing it now!

      Do yourself a favor, order a new original or genuine equipment power cord and install it. Trying to repair the old cord didn’t work out. After installing your new cord and plugging it in, allow 5-10 min for the unit to reset. Once you see the two dots, you are good to go! Best of luck to you!

      cord is fine, but getting a new plug with reset is probably a good idea, mine was pretty much a troubleshooting video, also I had the unit plugged into a power strip such is a big no, no as well.

    Hey, I checked the capacitor after the cord check then for hecks sake tried to use the remote instead of the LCD panel and BAMMM! turned on and works perfectly. BTW, LCD panel showed two hash marks like this - - Hope this helps someone!

      Hopefully it helps someone, looks like you did not have an issue with the cord itself but rather with the top display, I actually lost the remote, so fortunately my display works just fine.

    Do toy know where to get parts for this model? I got the machine and the vent but not the hose and fittings

    • @lucap3964

      got the hose and fitting on eBay, fitting about $14, the hose you can use any hose that is I believe 6.5"

    The problem that I have with mine is that only a third part of the vent is working. Should I have to buy a new one or do you think there is something I can do?

      if you are OK with opening up the unit, use a toothbrush and the vacuum cleaner and clean the unit up, the radiators are easily plugged up with dust, ideal would be using compressed air to blow the unit clean then close it back up.

    Same issue. Can you please include a detailed description of how to remove the plug cover and its 'guts'. Was able to remove the 2 tamper proof screws at the back, 2 small Phillip star screws at the back and the 2 internal Phillip star screws. I can see the board and the buttons and I'm not sure how to proceed. I have a feeling I might break things without expert advice. Do I need to unsolder the board or is it just clipped. Hope you can help me out. Thank you.

    • @lucap3964
      @lucap3964  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I strongly recommend you just replace the plug with a similar plug that has the reset button, I only took mine apart for the video and melted the plug back to push it in, however since the plug was already faulty I will still replace it, that way it's an easy gig. First establish that it is the plug the problem by checking on the cabling inside like I showed in the video. The only reason I fixed the plug was to test if the AC would work.

    • @lucap3964
      @lucap3964  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      make sure that the drain plug on the back is off and you got the hose connected for water exhaust, also make sure the water outlet is not plugged up, if there is water inside the machine turns on and then off.

    Sir. What fuse can i use in such a portable unit because the fuse is broken and i dont know how many amps. From volts my unit is dolonghi PAC AN125HPEC

    • @lucap3964
      @lucap3964  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is not actual fuse, the power plug acts like a fuse and will reset if the threshold is met, however sometimes components inside the power plug hit up and melt causing not to function anymore, and that is exactly what happened to mine and how I fixed it.

    • @lucap3964
      @lucap3964  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One reason for that could be that it was plugged into an extension cord, large appliances need to be plugged straight to the wall socket. In my video I have it plugged into an extension cord so I can make the video as the cord is pretty short.
