How to Fix a Delonghi Portable Air Conditioner

- I need to know how to fix a Delonghi portable air conditioner.
Is that because they break down so often or the fact that you can't find anyone to fix it?
A little of both.
On a Delonghi portable air conditioner, it won't come on for three minutes after you restart it, so that is a normal behavior.
If my AC was shutting down due to power fluctuations and slow to come back up due to safety measures, I have a problem - but with the power supply to the AC, not the AC itself.
The LT error on a Delonghi AC is the LT or low temperature solution. Turning it off is a solution for that.
So would be switching it to fan only, except that it doesn't cure what caused the low temperature.
You can get the low temperature error if it is surrounded by curtains or furniture and ends up cooling until freezing the air around it.
I would notice the icicles around it if that were happening.
The condensate on the coil would freeze first, so no. If there's ice on the coil, it will give you the LT error as long as the refrigerant leak actually causes the coil to freeze.
If I have a refrigerant leak, it will eventually stop working.
Not if the problem is due to bad air flow due to a dirty filter, though that could cause the LT error along with the CF error - wait, CF is a notice to replace the lime scale filter.
What are some of the other error messages on this portable air conditioner?
HL is the notice for a high level of water in the internal tray.
I haven't seen that one. And in a portable AC, the solution would be checking the drain tray for clogs.
F1 is an error for the water filter being clogged. That also suggests you need to clean the drain pan for clogs and problems too.
If the drain pan is off-kilter, the most obvious indicator is water dripping into the room instead of out.
If you get the PF error for probe failure, the probe is damaged. The manual says to call for service.
I'd do a web search for the part number and instructions to replace it before I did that.
If the AC's indicator lights are flashing, the system is erroring out. The solution is a hard reboot.
How do you hard reboot a Delonghi air conditioner?
Turn it off or unplug it, let it sit for five minutes, then plug it in. The point is to make sure the control board has no power for at least a few minutes.
Power cycling my gaming console is about as hard.
The Delonghi user manual says to call for service if rebooting doesn't fix it.
If the problem is not solved by rebooting, it is something that requires service.
If the compressor is cycling on and off by itself, check to see if the freezing error is coming up. If so, the problem may be a refrigerant leak or temperature sensor.
At which point, I'm back to calling for service unless the solution is changing a filter or improving its air flow.
At least you can speed up the process by blowing it with a hair dryer.
Putting it on fan mode is annoying enough, and that doesn't look weird to the neighbors.
I needed to know about a loud noise after the compressor starts
why do i get LE error, i know it means defrost then restarts compressor but how do you make it stop freezing up. is it low on Freon or what i want it to stop doing it every 10 minutes.
I woke up one morning in mind it just stopped. I made sure the outlet had juice and it does. Tripped the power reset on the power cord got to click and a Beat from the unit but the unit still wouldn't start. And there is a black screen and no error messages. I true love to know how to fix this one! Any ideas out there gang thank you
I've had mine for about 3 years and now it won't cool off my room. Drained it out a few times and the filter is clear. Someone please help 🙄
How often do you need to get the water out?
If your warranty expired they won't even fix it. I watched another video that states it only has a 3 year life spann

if the triangle error code comes up just tip it backwards and drian the water ...easy fix

I have a pac w130E the AC part seems to not turn on seems like its in fan mode even though the ac indicator is there(like a little ice cicle)(top left corner)the green eco light never comes on.....HELP!!!

I can’t figure out how to remove the top vent - my two year old found it funny to drop a crayon in there. It still runs fine but the crayon makes a lot of noise 😫
It took about a month, but the fan inside eventually just chopped the crayon to bits and launched the pieces out one by one - it was a slow noisy process 😂
But yes, still wish there was a tutorial to removed that top vent to remove any items that little ones can shove in there, or even just to regularly clean.
The dashboard is turned off like no light and only the on , off button works, what can i do?? The controller doesn't work either

I got a HL code. Unit leaking from bottom. Had unit for 3 years.
I bought a DeLonghi air conditioner and I kept getting a PF code so they had me cut the cord off and send it to them it took two months from the time I pay them to get a second unit now I'm getting a PF code again I don't know what is going on here the thing cost $700 I think they would have some kind of quality control I don't know I'm having sent the same problem with the second one they sent me so I'm just wondering what's going on 10 degrees here in Apache Junction Arizona so air conditioning is not a luxury it's a necessity I don't think I'd buy another one of these machines the second one seems to be bad also how is that possible

How to reset a E2 error?
Whenever the compressor turns on it stays on for about a minute then I hear it kind of grinding down to Halt then it shuts off but the fan keeps blowing. Any fix out there?

My Delonghi flips my fuses. I called the service department and they told me that they won't even service it. They only have a 3 year life span. Will never buy another one. Anyone want to buy for parts?

@@christophermyers6602 if u call delongi customer service they'll send u a new one. No way for us to fix personally (sad face) so they have to replace it or take it to your local appliance repair shop.
