"Another Chuck Berry song added to the repertoire for the Grateful Dead to rock out on, Around and Around was played consistently from late 1970 until 1995. It was primarily a show-closer in 1978, was joined with Good Lovin' mostly from 1979 onward, but in Spring 1990 it became a stand-alone show closer again, in a new arrangement, as heard here." - David Lemieux
My first Dead show ever. I was hooked after this one. Could not believe the parking lot scene. I was in heaven. Grew to appreciate their music as I grew up. I'm ecstatic every time I see a video clip from a show I attended. Thank you for sharing this one!!!
Spring 1989 we, my buddies and I, drove down from Eastern Pennsylvania to see the shows in Cincinnati and Louisville, and were treated to two great shows. A killer "Blow Away" in Cincy where a fan jumped the railing at the back of the stage and danced out in front of Brent and Jerry, and a "Louie, Louie" in Louisville! Hey Now!!!
This is new ! Previously unreleased. Bonus material from VFTV 1 had Louisville KY 7/6/90 but only Standing On the Moon / He’s Gone / KY Jam. NEW FOOTAGE !!
When we were in San Francisco we went to Phil’s wife’s room with her Bobby., me ,my niece to watch Excalibur uncut + will never forget that special time ! ❤️🐇🐰🌹💙🩵👽🪐🛸🚀☄️💥⚡️🥀
It's a great fit for the Dead. I especially like this verse because it's all the dancing instructions you need... "Well it sounds so sweet I had to take me a chance Rose out of my seat I just had to dance Started moving my feet Whoa and clapping my hands"
@@MSAPtube This was a really mellow show, & really hot out. I remember my girlfriend at the time & I left a couple of songs early. We drug are coolers full of icy pops & dry ice to the front of the stadium. Sold out in 20 minutes man so much fun, thought those days would never end!!

I’m in a hospital in Louisville right now for small cell cancer so great timing on a classic toon!
So many Blessings...🙏
Best wishes to you from the UK.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, good luck brother!
❤
wish you the best. Happy healing brother.
IMO no one covers Dylan or Chuck better than good old Grateful Dead. N.F.A 65-95!!!

The Dead sound is indescribable. It is unregulated and full of charisma.
Love the part where Brent switches from keys to B3! So awesome!
The switch to the organ moment was fantabulous 😎

Brent in HD Shirt, Love the way he spun from the piano to the Hammond B3 in the middle of his jam. He was all there, only 20 more days. So sad

"Well it sounds so sweet
I had to take me a chance
Rose out of my seat
I just had to dance
Started moving my feet
Whoa and clapping my hands"
It sounds like they are barely trying, so it just seems like they hate this song or something
Filler song
