Suddenly, our tour of Scotland was all over!

However, we are not quitters and we will be back!

@@HelenandDave that’s great I’m at Peewit Park Felixstowe at the moment and thinking about West Mersey in June, I love the fact that it’s reached by a causeway that floods at high tide, hopefully will catch up with you both soon.

Sorry to hear about the illness, glad you're feeling better. Yes, we'd have done the same and come home. We do love Scotland but as we're working and have limited holidays, we like to guarantee sun when we can, hence our France Trips. However, when we retire, we'll be up there.

BTW I love the place name Killin - lots of puns available there I'm sure...

What a shame for you both. We got as far as Loch Lomond and I got a dreadful ear infection with a high temperature so we never got across to the beautiful beaches of Arisaig. There’s always another year 🙌🏻

Glad Helen is feeling better, were up on Scotland on September for nearly a month, we're stopping at Maragowan for 4 nights, not sure I made the right desicion now 🤔

That is rich me telling Helen how to pronounce the Scottish sites. We are both sorry to hear you were unwell Helen. Neither of us have had a problem but then I never want to go home LOL Great to hear Helen is feeling better. As to the weather we stopped going to France because on our last trip there it was cold and wet in August and we burned wood to keep warm so we could sit out as a group. It was never our favourite site when we had a caravan but we love Killin.

Hi Helen and Dave - loved watching your vlogs. We are looking at touring Scotland and like some of the sites you have visited. How long would you suggest staying at each site?
Hi Glenis, many thanks for your message and also for supporting the channel, we appreciate it very much. We tend to stay around 3/4 nights at a time because we like to tour. That way we have a couple of days out and about in the car sight seeing and a lazy day on the campsite. However, this can get tiring so sometimes as an alternative we might look at a couple of sites (say North & South) stay longer but have more days out sight seeing. That's probably not helped too much. (sorry) we are thinking 3/4 nights at each site this year. Thanks, Helen & Dave

Similar to our trip to Blackpool. Susan copped for it, but we were only there for a few days, plus not that far from home. Susan very kindly gave me it, she’s like that, Mrs Happy Pensioner, so unbelievably generous and isn’t selfish at all when sharing the Dreaded Lurghy, colds, infections, bubonic plague’s, sniffles, ought at all. 😜🤪😂👍

However what we did see was absolutely lovely, and made us a wee bit homesick. We're now planning our Scotland Trip 2023 as a result ! Sorry to hear about Helen's virus, glad she's on the mend. Still good to see a bit of Scotland from a touring perspective as we're going up there at the end of June, near where you went, only for 10 days, though - Creagan Station.

Dave find this touring scotland video really therapeutic if your looking for other trips to scotland i can recommend auchenlarie holiday park on the A75 dumfries to stranraer road am there regularly prestwick hp is only about 1.5 hours away A77 and silverdyke.Anstruther fife if an of your viewers want info on these sites put comments in will reply to them am going to silverdyke in march

Auchenlarie has pool pub and restaurant prestwick only has restaurant pub handy if your flying up follow signs for airport you cant miss it last planes are at 8pm so you do get a decent nights sleep silverdyke has nothing on it but is direct path to pub restaurant approx 15 mins walk thats why they dont build a pub as most people are happy to walk all pitches on site are fully serviced £30 a night i wouldnt recommend kinkell braes st.andrews no water tap at pitches u get a wee walk to water but would recommend craigtoun meadows st andrews is a direct road from anstruther safe for cvans used it a few times i normally go from anstruther to st andrews if am up there hope that helps

Oh dear. Similar thing happened to us a few weeks ago. Started feeling Ill on the drive from Keswick to Bunree. Got tested for Covid and was positive. Never been as I’ll. eventually managed to get medical help. Was stuck in caravan for over a week and ended up having to drive back early when my wife started with symptoms. Hope you manage to get rebooked and finish your tour

So pleased Helen is on the mend. I was thrilled to see Killen, the Falls of Dochart and the pub. Fond memories of a visit with Scottish friends. We then went on to have dinner at monachyle Mhor.
