There were 2 things his team told him to do. Switch or wait for them to respawn after a team wipe. He never did either.
If he waited for his tank or his other support the camping would not have started. Yet he fed every single time fighting a battle he could never win against the Sombra.

I respect the W playing, but if you are in GM you need to have better sense to fall back than this. There were 3 separate flanks during this game where he should have never went in. In a game as high rank as this, even the number 1 Zen would melt if 5 members of a team looked at him.

@@kuriboy9572 From the outside as someone who's average to bad at the game I could tell he was at my skill level after a bit of Flats pointing it out and thinking "Huh, this does look like gameplay from some of my games". In-game, as a Top 500 player, from the point they leave spawn they probably already look questionable to their own team like Flats pointed out, first few deaths onwards you probably already know to not even bother trying to help them considering the skill level of everyone else in the game, at some point both teams just realized it really was a 4v5 game.

I've never seen a team not care about objectives this hard since Cloud9 pulled off their infamous C9 stunt. This Zen's entire team also isn't doing anything besides maybe flaming him, and the enemy team hardcore bullying him - this was one of the best videos I've seen in a LONG time. Like you can see his team DOESN'T need him so they don't peel. It's insane.
This guy was on my team the other day. He died 22 times on kings. Was a free win next match after i avoided him
That is the best feeling. Avoiding someone then rolling them the next game. Especially when you don't use chat. Its better when its not toxic and you think to yourself, "THANK GOD I AVOIDED".

This same behavior in QP I'd find it a bit obnoxious and discouraging for new players, but when someone is clearly buying accounts the only way to make them stop is to stomp on their ego and crush it until they want to uninstall the game, period. They don't belong in GM and they're ruining the experience for actually good players on both teams.

This reminds me of a gold game I had as tank recently where I got flamed for backing up when close to death multiple times and when my supports were a duo of one playing Mystery Heroes and the other hard-locked Zen. The Zen mostly played like this and almost never used Transcendance except to escape his bad positioning.
Remember kids, when you guys say : "I dont belong in *insert any rank below masters here*" This is what fucking happens if you try to buy your way into gm, you get shitstomped.

He isn’t boosted, I’ve played with him at the same rank as shown in vid. I was the other support, I saw his play style and semi pocketed him. This resulted in winning both my games with him.

Honestly, I think they are purposely doing this to push the booster down. By having 28 deaths in a game the algorithm will think he sucks and doesn't belong in GM. Brilliant move ngl.

In Overwatch 2, your MMR adjustment after every match is not impacted by your performance in each match (regardless of your skill tier). This is for a few reasons. We don't want players to be focused on doing things other than trying to focus on the objectives and win the match.
Which is bullshit, because you get people in game who are obviously very boosted or shit like this guy and needs to have their rank nuked. You will very rarely get people who work together to hard focuses someone to knock them down a peg.

@@Katekyo504 that would create problems tho, if it worked like that when I realized I was getting a loss I would switch to a high burst dps character and find someone on the enemy team to farm to get a better result for my mmr, and I don't think I could be blamed for doing so. Depending on how it worked it could also lead to me healbotting on support, it would have to be a very good algoritm to assess performance in a way that wouldn't lead to players playing for themselves in a team game.

It also could lead to some really unstable matchmaking, what if for instance I am diamond (I am not in reality I am high silver because I suck ass and can't think when I play) but lets imagine I am, and someone from silver has bought a diamond account, I am playing genji, the silver player is constantly out of position, so every fight I dash onto them, right click them in the head and dash out, I end the game with an extraordinary number of kills, and the game is like, this bitch is wayyy lower than she should be, she must have sank her mmr to bully people, and then it puts me in high masters and I end up throwing for a team through no fault of my own and having a really bad experience and ruining other's experience
The thing that really gets me is that Zen kept coming out the same door. He didn't even think about going left. So he was either tilted beyond belief or has the map knowledge of someone who's played the game for three hours.
and yet flats claims people are coping for not agreeing with him on the zen being diamond, flats has no clue about any skill below masters, ive seen bronze zens better than this like come on flats
@@XiaoYueMao i actually agree with this 😭 OW was my first fps game in 2016, i started out bronze and gradually made my way up to masters and GM on dps and supp. I play in QP with people who are in gold and plat and i've seen plenty of people who play better than this.
I think Flats has just been in GM/T500 for so long now that he forgot how much metal ranks have evolved and changed. That and the fact that all of the people he plays with are also in GM/T500 💀

rank doesnt care for personal skill, he simply needs to be lucky enough his teams can compensate for his bad skill and win, if his team wins more than they lose, he will rise in rank, no matter how personally bad he is, doesnt even have to be intentional or purposefully boosting, just needs to get really lucky on the draw in regards to how good his teammates are

The amount of times they charged their alternate fire for like one or two shots then fired early when they could’ve easily waited slightly longer and actually done some damage or just shoot the whole time and do more damage was driving me insane lol. They kept doing this the whole first half of the game.

I've seen this attackzero zen in other steamer lobbies and it's crazy because he does die a ton but it seems to work if the other support of hard pocketing or playing a hero that can provide heals like that. I saw him win with karq easy but then if they don't have good heals it's like the entire team melts after he dies.

I am a GM and one of my friends is hard stuck in bronze 5 and plays exactly like this guy. It was uncanny how much their play style is identical.
Literally everyone was against that Zen the whole match. The Sombra and Ashe bullied him the whole game, and Zen's entire team just let him suffer for trying to flank and failing miserably.

@@Keldiur I’m just speaking as someone who’s been in similar situations. Sometimes you get pulled into a GM2-3 lobby and play fine then other times you just get rolled and it’s not fun. It’s hard to tell if it’s ur fault or just team miscommunication. If I had 26 deaths I’d probably blame myself, but also I feel like after 16 deaths I’d probably just mentally shutdown and start auto pilot playing…

Im in plat and was once placed in a low grandmaster lobby during overwatch 1 due to a matchmaking glitch. This was basically my experience but they knew it wasnt my fault so they didnt flame me. Left the game so they could quit and requeue.
That’s the good part of overwatch. If they know that the matchmaking messed up and you’re in way over your head, they won’t be mad if you cancel.

As a Sombra player, Zens like this are one if my favorite targets. Wouldve spawn camped him the entire time too, although i don't actually know if its the most optimal play considering the Zen was doing basically nothing even before the spawn camping started

So I’m a Zen main and I’m high gold (on console), and this guy plays like me when it comes to positioning and getting caught up in the kills (something I’m working on). Mechanically he’s definitely a little better than me. It’s definitely hard to tell as I said I’m a console player and he’s obviously on pc, but I would definitely say he’s most likely plat.

High gold on console is equivalent to low gold/high silver on PC.
