      Thank you Q8! Also once again for inspiring me to get this aircraft. I have to slow down on watching your videos though lol. You got me again with that 748 you showed.

    I purchased this airfoil ng. Such a great add-on. It's perfect. No regrets.

    Even though i don't have this airplane, i still appreciate the hard work that goes into these videos. Great video!

    I always put the flaps to full during my pre-flight that way I can check that the actuator rod moves. Sometimes the flaps can go down, but if the rod does not move, then it might not be able to come back up. I also suggest to test the stby battery for 10 seconds to ensure it works and then arm it.

    FS2020 needs a plane just like this. It's such a shame that Xp11 gets all the love and nothing else. When I fly C172s in real life, you notice so many small things. In the C172NG, all the small thing you notice are modeled and I love it. Great video =)

    • @TheFlightSimDeck
      @TheFlightSimDeck  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Jordan! The good news is, I think it will happen eventually. XP11 released in 2016 and just got this one last December. So hopefully not that long. The biggest issue with the default XP11 / MSFS ones are they just don’t bite into the wind like this one does. They really did a good job.

    • @giacomoertiani3122
      @giacomoertiani3122 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it would be useless. Msfs is not lacking in aircraft, there are some good already. If they will not improve the flight dynamics engine of the system itself ( not of the planes), you will never have a result like this one

    • @IAMinCOMMAND32
      @IAMinCOMMAND32 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@giacomoertiani3122 Improving the gaming engine and add-ons is really anything but useless. Forward progression so people like me trying to use a simulator to learn, understand, and study aviation theory and practical skills is hard when you don't have a solid simulator besides the ones at the flight schools that cost $80-100/hour.

    • @giacomoertiani3122
      @giacomoertiani3122 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@IAMinCOMMAND32 what i mean is that what is missing to msfs compare to xp is a good dynamic atmosphere simulation, and without this even the best add-on of the world would not give a good feeling

    • @IAMinCOMMAND32
      @IAMinCOMMAND32 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@giacomoertiani3122 Ahhh okay, yes. I agree. I think MSFS has tons of potential to make more clouds, more realistic airflow, more realistic atmospheric everything to get developers moving in the right direction with high quality aircraft like the 172NG.

    The stalls speeds you were referring to are calibrated air speeds, indicated air speeds would be 40 and 48.

    • @TheFlightSimDeck
      @TheFlightSimDeck  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are absolutely right 40 and 48 IAS. I see where I got it. On the limitations page they only used CAS and I was looking at that section.

    • @lpappas474
      @lpappas474 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheFlightSimDeck It's an easy thing to miss when talking about KCAS (Knots Calibrated) versus KIAS (Knots Indicated). With a high angle of attack ( Hight nose up attitude) during the landing the pitot tube is not in alignment with the direction of flight resulting in the airspeed indicator indicating a lower airspeed than the actual airspeed. With respect to percent power and RPM, you can refer to the Cruise Performance chart in section 4 to determine the RPM setting. At a pressure altitude (29.92 inches of mercury) of 2000 ft and standard temperature (59 F, 15C), 2500 RPM would produce 73% Brake Horse Power (BHP). Not sure if you will find this helpful as you may already be aware of how to determine power settings.

    Excellent, very thorough and interesting video. I'm thinking many hours of hard work went in to the making of this video. Well done, Sir! Question: What weather engine are you using in this video?

    It would be such help that while clicking or turning these knobs you would zoom In as you explain. How can I configure the outside view? I only have an inside view

    • @TheFlightSimDeck
      @TheFlightSimDeck  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will certainly consider that more. Did that in some areas. I use X-Camera for the outside views, but the checklist in the left door takes you on the walk around the outside too. You click through each step.

    Hmm...should the prop tip be painted on the pilot side ? Wouldn't that cause glare ?

      You are absolutely correct, from my flying these planes as a CFII. BTW, FSD must have at one time or is currently a CFI, because of his very thorough presentation. Job well done.

    Do you have any recommendation for control sensitivity or anything? It seems as if soon as i apply any rudder barley it starts screeching and gets out if control… coming from someone who actually flies a 172 that dosent happen ( often ) haha
