    I watched your other video for propagation using the river sand. I went to a lake and got the sand and it has worked beautifully! I have new buds. I didn't think I could do it but it worked! I am very excited and thankful for your advice.

      Thanks. Good luck. Do not water too much, cuttings will rot. Transplant only when many new leaves appear may be after 2, 3 months.

    Hello from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. I just purchased a star jasmine. I left it in its original pot from the nursery and I am trying different areas of my backyard to see where it likes it best. I’ve been doing this for five days now. I think I found the spot for now at least. we are in the desert and the sun approximately 97% of the time. It is very dry here as well. I wanted to grow as a vine, will be purchasing a trellis tomorrow. Thank you for the info on the banana fertilizer for potassium. Makes a lot of sense. Thank you for also taking the time to write down, during the video, the soil mixture. I simply took a screenshot and followed your advice. I hope regular desert sand works. We do not have rivers here. I worry about getting construction sand.. Will keep you updated. Many thanks.🙏

      Desert sand is okay. Good luck. I love Las Vegas. I visited 2 times from Australia.

    I appreciate your very informational video!
    I have one small potted Sambac Jasmine. It is a new plant to me. I keep it as a houseplant. It has flourished. I decided it was time to repot it. After doing so, I made the mistake of immediately putting it in direct sunlight. I think it now suffers transplant shock because the very tips of the leaves are turning brown. I realized my mistake and have now placed it elsewhere, out of direct sun. I hope the Jasmine will recover.

      Good luck. Do not worry, it will be happy soon. Feed seaweed solution, if you have.

    I enjoyed watching your video. I just received a jasmine plant about a week ago and I put in in my south facing window but I’m noticing that a lot of the leaves are just drying out. I have watered it twice now in just a week because the soil is very dry. Do you have any tips for me to help this plant please

    • @GardenTricks
      @GardenTricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You may try putting the plant in a bright shade for a few days. Also do not place on AC room, or in dry air due to heating. If so must the leaves.

      @@GardenTricks I live in Ontario so I’m not using a/c yet plus I have a humidifier going all the time but I’m going to try it your way and take it out of the south facing window and mist it everyday
      Thank you for getting back to me so soon and I hope you have a wonderful day

      @@beverleywheeler Sometimes, the plants responds like this due to change of environment when you bring them from the shop. I hope it will overcome this in a few days. Also please ensure, the plant does not need a new pot.

      The aim is to make soil free-draining. You can use bajari instead.
