@@SeasideGarage That is the hope, it's just having to take things apart to re-replace things, which I've done myself more times than I can remember, that's the "we do it twice" part... :P
You might have been able to get the "Oilite" bushes from Bearingboys in the UK. Split type spring washers have been unacceptable for a long time now. They are banned on military aircraft. Use Nylocs unless it just has to look vintage. Serrated washers and Loctite as an alternative.
as I've experienced, split washers aren't accepted in general in any actual new engineering, the only reason they'd be used is because someone decided to simply copy&paste old stuff
Those bushes are Sintered Bronze, very popular back in the 1930s for electric motor bearings still used today in some applications, you should be able to buy various sized hollow stock in long lengths from a bearing supplier then machine the sizes you need, you will have to heat up some oil and put the bushes in the hot oil, much like how new motor bike chains once were lubricated. I used to save these worn bearings to re-machine them sometimes even make oversized sleaves or shafts if time was an issue.
Riktigt fascinerande liten motor, jag älskar små motorer och det var riktigt kul att se den invändigt. Lycka till med provstarten senare, vi är nog många som är nyfikna.
I knew an old guy in Rågeleje, who had one. He told that when he once had the piston rings replaced, they had to pull it several km after a car, before the compression became good enough for it to start.
I did not, its supposed to be pre gapped and I hope it is.. the cylinder is a blind hole so measuring is very difficult.. and my cylinder gauge is not small enough ! haha It LOOKED good enough, at least not to small which would be catastrophic
this little guy is so simple! Although I still do not fully understand the design of the "carburetor". What does "desiccant" mean? Maybe a problem with the translation... Where can I find his scheme?
You should weld all around the bearing race, would probably work better... you could also put a piece of mild steel across with a nut in the middle and use a puller :)
7:30 if you weld the bearing ring, you could have welded a bar across the ring and pull on that. Or even two hex nuts and just use two screws to push :D

Well, when it comes to some rebuilds, you know what they say; "We do it right cos we do it twice!!!" :P

I have my fingers crossed that it's going to work. Cool little engine.
Remarkable engine, can't wait to see it run!
hate to say now - but always put grease on crank oil seals like that - they have a wee groove for it.
I use assembly oil on the sealing surfaces :)
Damn. Left us with a cliffhanger

8:37 I removed a similar race by cutting a deep groove into it with a tungsten bur and cracking it

Urgh! Something must have been wrong then! :O
I've been looking forward to this video, thanks
when you weld a bearing race to make it contract, you just keep welding, long pass not just spots, and it will get lose.
Interesting thanks
Did you measured the clearance between the faces of the piston ring?

Dremil for getting the ring out😊
Another video. Nice😮

Exactly my thoughts.
Yeah that works great, usually it just falls right out, in fact I don't recall it ever not working.@@krtgiroto

Good idea!
Such a cute little engine! Good job and hope it produces more power than smoke!
It wil for sure smoke alot 😂😂✌️✌️
Fedt at køre på knallerter med så små motore som muligt.
enig!
@@SeasideGarage hvordan er det og sidde på en knallert med kun 18cc?
Må være ret fedt især når den ikk rigtigt ka trække på bakkerne eller let modvind
if you had puts the welds further away from the ally casing side you could of got the puller under the welds to pull
Why didn’t the Swedish supplier not want to send stuff to Denmark? Another fascinating video.
odds are it's due to customs and customs duties and fees

Dont know why, they just did not accepts addresses outside sweden and although houses are cheap over there, it was to much of a hassle... :P

Where can I buy one? I would like to make a mold and possibly bring this to mass market, in USA I believe these would sell
pretty impossible to find them...
jeg har selv en velo solex 45 med 45cc og 0,25 hk.
Why do you need special tools to machine oil-impregnated bronze bushings?
If it doesn't work it'll make a nice wall ornament. 😆
will you do more video's about these?
Yes!! Its been awhile since something broke and parts are hard to find... But more will come soon.
