This game was made by the same team that did sunshine heavy industries. The mechanic that added the random "extension" to your ship was one of the main characters of that game. It's really cool to see little easter eggs like that!

I’d love to see this as a series. Cool game with some real innovations AND, more importantly, you sound excited to do it.
I'll be buying this game soon, but I'd still love to watch you do more episodes on it. It's always fun to see how other people build their decks in a game as flexible and open as this one.

Love it. This battle system makes for some really interesting cards and items. Now I just wanna see what cool stuff there is in this game.
I've been absolutely glued to this game since I picked it up on Thursday. I just unlocked the 10th clear ship and some of the mechanics of these ships TOTALLY change how runs play. The last run I did used a ridiculously complicated set of mechanics and it took me almost twice as long as a normal run would to clear.
This game totally rules. The character archetypes are all very well defined and distinct, and they balanced this game beautifully. There's so many cool builds and synergies that make it feel so fun to play. Really hoping they can expand on the enemies, but there's so much variety to this game. It's kinda cool how the current variety is figuring out what your card pools are and how to pivot into the same puzzles with different resources.

The progression looks super fun and straight to the point like an Into The Breach or something, where almost every run for awhile could have new little sidegrades and mechanics.

"Lunge" is the first card I always upgrade to "Lunge A". Being able to flip the card to be 2 left or 2 right is pretty great.

wth this game rocks. I had quite a retrobacklog to work through. But I might just run through this series. This has been my favourite series since wildfrost, and it has even more story!
I'm guessing the devs are Swedish, Dr. Bjorn is the common English:ized way to spell Björn, which means "Bear" in Swedish.
Because he's a bear, get it?
Also that hilarious joke: "What is the sound of a Swedish lightsaber?"
It's even more funny because in Swedish it's pronounced entirely differently.
I also played the demo a few weeks back and couldn't wait to pick up the full version. I grabbed it today so I could start building decks and unlocking ships!

Bought it yesterday, it's so great and the humour has me laughing constantly! My first run, I built a crazy dodge ship with corrosion and piercing attacks, I was practically never hit 'cause I always had lots of dodge up, it was so fun! I also chose Riggs to get her first memory unlocked and also opted to swap out Dizzy for Isaac... kinda fun seeing you making the same choices, haha
This has so much potential! I am really looking forward for more.
This game seems fun, but one of the common noises made in the background music is the exact same notes and tune as the first few chimes my dryer makes when it finishes a load of clothes. It kept triggering me to want to pause and get up and I had to keep reminding myself I’m not doing laundry.

I am so happy that the people who made the amazing game 'Sunshine Heavy Industries' made another game, and it's just as awesome. And I love that you meet the characters of that game in this one too, and Selene is still up to her same interesting ideas of spaceship 'design'! :D

This and Shogun Showdown are the only two games to really recapture what made me fall in love with Slay the Spire. Cobalt Core is so good.

I was hesitant to pick up this series, which is a rare thing to say on a Retromation video, but I can at safely say that it was well worth my time. For all those on the fence, this one is at bare minimum Revita tier in quality!

Very interesting game! reminds me superficially of FTL, but the characters are much stronger, and the combat mobility seems neat.

Are you going to play Roboquest? that looks like the best of the year to me.
in roughly 1 hour, it is _really_ good, but I am not nearly as big on FPS games, especially if they have heavy meta-progress. That being said, the title on the video will make my opinions on it clear.
