Day6 is one of my all time favorites. They are just so good , their songs feel evergreen, comforting. Their writing, musicality ,vocals feel all too real , i don't know how to describe it but hearing them feels real, like you feel happy when they sing a happy song, you feel nostalgic, you feel the yearning, the heartbreak , the peace , they can make you experience the entirety of the human emotions through everything they put out. It's truly no wonder that they are looked up to by all of the kpop industry when it comes to music . Anyone who loves music , knows music is going to love them
I think you are right, and honestly I think it comes from just being a group and as I call them analog instruments, it just has an extra something to connect to and with!
Aren't they so good? I totally agree about their aura. I only just realized after your last reaction how young they are. Debuted the same year as Seventeen, which ok is almost 10 yrs ago but I had always assumed they were 2nd gen because they have this gravitas as if they'd been doing this for much longer. I recently saw a live of them at a park with an outdoor amphitheatre and only about maybe 200 audience? It was such a good stage, amazing crowd energy, but completely different from the huge energy of a stadium concert, or a multi-stage festival. It was intimate and laid back but everyone was super engaged. It made me wish so bad I could have been there. I feel like Day6 is made for venues like that, where literally anyone from any age and background could enjoy the music regardless of their musical taste. Just be out enjoying the weather and the music. I mean not that they couldn't rock a stadium too. I'm sure they have.
whaat! honestly I thought they were like a lot newer than Seventeen. I thought they were like within the last 4 years kinda deal. ahhh! those are the best shows, thats why I like the concerts I usually go to for metal, small venues, the energy, the unification of the crowd, its superb! I am sure they have too, I know you arent supposed to take views and listeners per month fully into account but they seem pretty popular.
They do have a different kind of general aura. Probably because their company formed them as some kind of idol but musician hybrid, which they do project very well. So, while there are a lot of idol elements in how they are managed and presented, they really are musicians who write and play their own music. And so they have this personal attachment to their music that you can really feel from how they perform and brings that signature sound.
that very well could be, that is an interesting piece of info, I guess it worked for them in the long run, its awesome to see it though, it feels unique
Thank you for checking them out! They've been in the industry for so long, so they have lots of songs in a lot of different genres (and also lost 2 members along the way). Since they write and compose their own stuff, they are able to experiment quite often. But I agree that they have their own unique aura, as soon as it starts playing you already know it's a Day6's song. Personally, I can listen to their whole discography without skipping any song, so that to me shows how good they are. Hope to see more of Day6 on your channel :)
I don’t remember exactly which kpop gen but it became custom for kpop idol groups to each have their signature opening! Day6 doesn’t really have one so they just all say their band name together :)
It hits different when a real musician and vocalist reacta to Day6. The comments feel raw and real as sick. Thank you for all the feedbacks, sir! I knew you'd like Day6's rock songs so we recommend their latest album - Band Aid.
Thanks for this video! Definitely understand what you mean about their aura and how their title tracks have a signature Day6 sound to them. For about 90% of their career thus far, they had a 5th member who was lead guitarist and a main vocalist (4/5 members were main vocalists). But he made the decision to part ways with JYPE at the start of 2022, and the other members were enlisted at the time. They finished enlistment as of this past Nov and this Killing Voice is from about 3 months later. I mention this because I personally feel like they are going through a pretty big adjustment period having lost lead guitar & a main vocal at once. I’d imagine it feels kinda like losing a limb or something 😅 Their March album felt a lot like them… but different, which is to be expected. Much of their older music will probably need to be rearranged for 4 members too. I’m looking forward to their comeback on Sept 2 to see more of what this new era of Day6 will have in store for us!
right? there is something there, I can't quite put my finger on it either, its like an x factor ahh, tough, yeah I guess missing out on a member would warrant a bit of adjustment, I do think that they are good enough to be able to move on as a group without him, even as sad as that is. I might need to go back and check out that album that came out in March, on a scale of 1-10 where would you put that album? me too! I am following it closely!
Song List : 1. Welcome to the show 2. Day by gone 3. I Serious 4. Only 5. Congratulations 6. You were beautiful 7. Letting go 8. I like you 9. I smile 10. Zombie 11. Love me or leave me 12. Shoot me 13. Sweet chaos 14. Best part 15. Freely 16. Time of our life
thank you for coming back to Day6 so soon ^^ I'm glad you enjoying them! They are gaining their popularity back now after the military and doing a lot of stuff! Also just yesterday they announced new comeback on September, 2nd ^^ I think it's true, that they try to experiment with the music they write, but still have their own sound present in all the songs. Also they have quite a few ballads so it was interesting that first song you reacted was I wait, as I mentioned under the previous video xD
I believe this Killing voice was first one with the live instruments btw previously they invited only vocalists of the bands to sing , without playing so it's exiting ~
yeah, honestly. that is the tricky thing with the randomizer is just because I dont really have a back log of recommendations for all these groups, so sometimes its up to spinners discretion, sometimes I hit sometimes I miss lol! oh good! I will be following that comeback closely!
also regarding the introduction phrase of kpop groups is coming way back from 1st gen I believe. I don't really remember how it came to be, but I remember how Super Junior's phrase was very popular!
i saw them live in 2019 and it was seriously one of the best concert experiences of my life. it was fairly small because they're not crazy well known in australia but i think that made it even more special. one of my favourite bands even outside of the kpop/krock scene. this killing voice was absolutely incredible. definitely on par with seventeen's in my opinion
Thanks for appreciating their music n yes their distinctive vocals goes well together along with their instrumentation.Hope u can react also to some of their MVs like Congratulations, Zombie, Shoot Me or Sweet Chaos on your next. Maybe u can check out also their recent concert entitled WELCOME TO THE SHOW even in your own time 😊
Thanks for the reaction! They have so many great songs, hope to see them live one day. I don't know if you take requests, but I hope you can check out Younha's Killing Voice one day. She has experimented with different genres, but many of her songs, especially her earlier work, have rock/ pop rock influences.
you should definitely check out some live performances, especially for Time Of Our Life (the last song here) and best part (probably my favorite song... like out of all songs that exist in the world).

I think introducing oneself is just a common practice in South Korea, so not just among idols but in general.
gotcha, that makes sense, I like how they all have a little quote or saying for their introduction
I don’t remember exactly which kpop gen but it became custom for kpop idol groups to each have their signature opening! Day6 doesn’t really have one so they just all say their band name together :)
Best K-band!
they are very much up there for sure!
I see day6, i click
