- MEETING MY GIRLFRIEND IN BAGUIO...
Such a wonderful and very cool city (probably the coldest in the Philippines). On this day, I go for a walk to a bamboo forest with Therine. Baguio really seems to be one of the most walkable cities in the Philippines. Not only are there good sidewalks and areas for pedestrians... but the cold temperatures and abundance of parks really make this a beautiful place to explore by walking!
After a bamboo forest adventure, we head to the famous Burnham Park and have a little picnic. Form there, Therine has to work... so I continue walking to show you a beautiful display of Cordillera artistry and weaving. Then, we end at a really unique little coffeeshop that overlooks Sessions Road. Guesthaven Coffee is awesome! Baguio is awesome!
This was such a wonderful day with my girlfriend in the Philippines...

Good to see you both. Baguio is really a walkable city. Our Mayor is improving all the sidewalks to encourage walking as means of transportation and to reduce traffic problems.
Kulas Im originally from Leyte and my daughter studies in Univesity of Baguio.. I was surprised to see her school in your video today.. Thank you! It made me proud being a mother..I fell in love with Baguio the first time I was there and Im loving the place.. I cannot wait to visit this place and seeing my daughter again..Soo excited this place has so much to offer plus the people are so friendly and polite..Enjoy your stay there with your girlfriend!

You should have tried Vizcos. It bakes one of the locally loved cakes. Their strawberry cake comes with fully loaded fresh strawberries and the sweetness is but right to taste. This is the best part of Baguio (the John Hay area)! I used to live in that part of the city and loved walking every day all the way to Session Road and back. Hope you've been to VOCAS across the street!

You visited the coolest place in the country, Baguio. Its cooler than Tagaytay and Marawi city because of the place higher elevation. Kay tugnaw man sa Baguio ug kuyog ang uyab, its a Pine place to be with.... ha ha ha ha. Mura man gyud wala ka kapuya Kulas, si GF kaha, ah tulog pa tingali while nag kape na ka. Haven't been to Baguio for a long time since my SLU boys high days back in 83'. So much had changed. Burnham Park looks like it's been revitalized. Session Rd however still looks the same, just the signs are different. There was more greenery back then than buildings. I guess way more people there now than before, no surprise there. Glad you're back with Therine...nice pun with the pine tree..haha
It's a very walkable city. I walked everywhere when I was there, even during the rainy days. Sometimes clouds just descend all of a sudden and you'll be drenched and cold, and you can't see where you're going...so cool. One thing though, you have to have a healthy heart and somewhat fit to go through all that up and down strolls. Same thing if you go through the mountain provinces. Quite fun though.
FYI: Baguio is twin sister city of Vaughan (a city north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada). Stumbled upon a sign at Steeles ave and Dufferin st when I was dropping off a co-worker on my way home. It clicked in my head when you said at 12:40 'It's like walking to the campground in Canada'.

Owww,I miss Baguio,I graduated their in University of Baguio in 2004 and work in Ibays silver shop in mine’s view from 2010 to 2014,then moved here in California in 2014 also..lot’s of memories when I was there. Thank you for showing the new Baguio.

Hi Kyle, it’s good you visited the Bamboo Sanctuary, That’s my boyhood playground before, St. Francis Seminary. Our house is at Siapno Road. I attended too the inception of the project. We actually encouraged people of Baguio to plant bamboos. It was the project of the late Bishop Carlito Cenzon. I’m now living here in Winnipeg, Canada.

I must tell you that I had doubts about how you feel towards her when you gifted her--even if it was a joke--that unspeakable, even if it's gold!, toilet seat. But then you redeemed yourself, when you were conversing with that old barber Tatang Piping, and you referred to Therine as your "Novia.", which in my childhood in the Philippines, the Novia, is the bride during a wedding. I hope you would take a page from George Clooney, who was a confirmed bachelor, but got married and became a father to twins, and he says he's a million times fulfilled and happy. I am in a mixed marriage myself--going on 56 years and I can say I have beautiful and perfect children and grandchildren. So, I am very sure you and Therine would too!
