- I have just discovered that in our lifetime we walk on average 115,000 miles - the equivalent of walking round the globe 5 times! No wonder that at 72 my poor old feet are extremely sore! Yet shoes make an important contribution to how elegant an outfit will look, so I still want to wear stylish shoes.

Tricia - Not sure if you're aware of Vionic shoes...they have arch supports but the shoes are very stylish. I have two pairs of flats...both the same style...one is a silver snakeskin-look and the other leopard. Love them; get oodles of comments on them; extremely comfortable. Just purchased with 50 percent off, a smokey grey/blue camouflage slip-on which was suggested for "front line" workers during the crisis. All the Vionic shoes have arch supports and, lucky for me, I have been able to purchase with great discounts. Love your blog...please continue the good work!

Tricia I’ve just loved all your teas at the Ritz although I hardly ever manage to watch them at the time but I always catch up. I hardly dare hit the calla and sole bliss websites for fear I might have to buy something!!! I appear to have bought several pairs of Toolally earrings over this last month as well as some Kettlewell items over the last several months. Loving them all but my hubby will definitely blame you so let’s not tell him !!! 🤣🤣

I live in Minnesota ,USA. In the US each state can use there own rules and regulations. We have learned some of the restrictions have been eased. Pretty much like your stay alert restrictions. I am so excited. We must wear masks, we must decide if a certain place is too crowded and then leave that place and always take special care and also spend a good deal of time safe at home. We can gather with a group no more than 10 people and have 6 feet space between us . All this is good news and best of all on June 1 the beauty salons will open and under some strict rules. I am going to color my hair and get a brand new hairdo and then a wonderful manicure.
I will say I feel much better just knowing I can do these things.I feel lighter like something has been lifted and I can smile easier again. Then you have a wonderful topic about shoes, terrific!!

Tricia, you took me on quite a trip down memory lane this morning with your mention of the x-ray machines in shoe shops when we were children and the winkle pickers we wore as teens. I remember I had a pair of black suede winkle pickers and when I was caught in the rain the black dye from the suede got all over my feet! Seems funny now. Thanks for the info on the shoes. I am in Canada now and have not heard of those companies. Will check into it.

Plus,they are foot-shaped and I can walk miles in them in total comfort .

Thank you Tricia for the informative presentation. I have not heard of either of these companies and yes, I have bunions. Always have worn good shoes, but hey ho, my paternal grandmother had awful bunions!
I fortunately don’t experience too much problem getting good comfortable , stylish shoes but will certainly take a look at both these and see if I like them enough to try! One brand I have tried last year is Vionic.
Some of the styles , I don’t like, but the 2 pairs I bought, were very stylish. I normally buy Gabor or Reiker.They both suit my feet.

In the US - Naturalizer do some beautiful shoes. They used to be so matronly, but lately they have upped their game and now have really stylish shoes that are good for your feet! I bought a beautiful snake sling back, with a pointed toe and 1" heel that are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! I don't have problem feet, despite wearing high heels for years, but I did have a job where I was on my feet, on concrete floors for years and years, so love shock absorbing shoes.
BTW - not all beauty bloggers/influencers get things sent to them for free, and there are many that refuse to do a review of a product if they had been asked by the manufacturer to only post positive reviews. Those are the only ones to which I subscribe. If they have actually been sent something they have to mention it up front. There are many that follow this rule, and still have many followers!

I cannot for the life of me keep court shoes on my heels. I have a narrow heel too.
I enjoyed that video Trisha as I’ve always had a problem with wide feet and inherited bunions.

Sadly I have not been receiving the daily emails , instead I have to go via You Tube to pick up Tea at the Ritz. Not sure whats happened here.
I wonder if these brands have removable shoe beds in order to use custom inserts? Most of the low heeled shoes are too flat for me. I also need a velcro strap that holds my foot better.
And.....I have another foot issue....extremely narrow 4AAAA WITH 6AAAA heel!

Oh my goodness I feel like a typical American capitalist slob. You were rather apologetic about the shoes and I was truly thinking (in my native New York accent) “Take the shoes! Make the pitch!
