    I'm using an organic castor oil and olive oil soap bar for all over washing. Works great.

    I typically use a handful of baking soda in the washing machine (sprinkling it around the edges so it gets mixed in well) and put the vinegar in the place where the bleach is supposed to go. I find that our clothes come out very clean and without a lingering smell. I highly recommend it

    I stopped antiperspirant back in 1985. I found out about this when I heard about the aluminum. I stopped using cleaning products because I hated the smalls back in the early 1990's, stopped the toothpastes a few times because they seemed to bother me until 2009 when I heard about sls and fluoride. I also never use anything that has unscented to it. Most scents are actually poisonous. A doctor pointed that out to my husband and I also in 2009. We are so much better off without the soaps (which I make our own now) and detergents. We do not need all those cleaning products. I have actually been made fun of in grocery stores for buying multiple gallons if distilled white vinegar, multiple boxes of baking soda, washing soda, and borax. I just don't care. I buy in bulk when I can afford it. I use organic, cold pressed coconut oil for deodorant and moisturizer. I sometimes use it in making my toothpaste as well. Get off the chemical track in your homes and fir your family members.

    Loved this video! I learned a lot and have also been working on moving our household to non-toxic products. Thank you for sharing and teaching. A couple of thoughts…I have read that vinegar can degrade the rubber hoses in a washing machine, so I don’t use it in the washer any longer. As you pointed out, there are good natural detergent alternatives. I also love Castile soap and use it in many different ways. I have read that essential
    oil-containing products like some of the Castile soaps (except unscented) are better stored in glass containers than plastic (essential oil can break down the plastic over time), so I bought a glass foaming dispenser bottle. Costs a little more. Take care!

    Good job figuring this out. Due to health issues 20+ years ago my wife learned about all the toxins in everything. We have been using baking soda, vinegar, non fluoride toothpaste and all of the alternatives you discussed for decades. The oligarchs only care about profits. Make it cheap, sell it high. Make money off the illnesses of the people. It’s all about the dollar, greed.

    I began switching to safer cleaning products about 10 years ago when my allergist ended my monthly maintenance shots and I began having serious reactions to everything around me almost immediately. Cutting down what had been a constant exposure to hundreds of toxins did the trick. Now I may get a sniffle when exposed to ragweed or other triggers, but my body no longer goes haywire. Just replace toxic products with a safe products as they run out. No need to throw out everything at once. You won’t be sorry!

    I used to have the same issue with my mouth and didn’t know what caused it. I did know that fluoride in my toothpaste wasn’t something I wanted, so I switched to a natural toothpaste. It never dawned on me that the pealing stopped because of it. I thought it was something spicy or acidic that did it.
    Thank you for that info.

    All antiperspirant has aluminum. Antiperspirant means it stops you from sweating. So your armpit stays dry. As you heard in this video it's because the aluminum clogs the pores and doesn't allow the sweat to come out. So where does it go? Think about that one. No deodorant has aluminum because it doesn't stop you from sweating it only stops you from stinking hence the name deodorant. That's the difference between the two. Just wanted to throw that one out there.

    I am so glad you are doing this video! I love NOW brand supplements but hadn't seen they have a toothpaste. We just found Schmit's deodorant and we love it! Lasts so much longer, smells lovely and works great. We love the Dr Bonner's peppermint castille soap too! Laundry is clean and the peppermint removes the bad odors from Dad's nursing home laundry. We also use wool balls in the dryer and scent them will all natural essential oils for fabric softening. Also great for those who don't like scented laundry items - just skip the oils we are adding. Just purchased the orange oil you showcased and can't wait to try it out on our floors. Now what to use in the shower to soap our booties that as healthy as possible for the all natural soaps we use?

      @@MyCabinLife I don't. I just squirt it in as the washer is filling up but I have an old fashioned top loader. I bet if yours is the other kind you just treat it like liquid detergent though. Great info! I've moved in that direction with everything I eat and slowly doing it with other products. I use the Castile soap but haven't used it on my hair. I think I'll give it a try. I really thought it would be too drying but, knowing that your skin is your largest organ it's high time I further commit. I use apple cider vinegar in my litter box in addition to using it to clean other things. It's so weird how little I buy from the grocery stores now. I cringe at what I bought 20 years ago lol.

      Personally, I don't like using castile soap on my hair - I have fine hair and it gets too dry and stringy (odd I know) using castile soap. I only use castile soap on my skin during the summer because it dries out my skin in the winter months.
      I have found a brand called "Take Haven" that is a shampoo bar that I like. I use (diluted) apple cider vinegar as a rinse to adjust the pH so my fine hair doesn't get static. Some have recommended Dr. Bronner's Sugar Soap for hair instead of castile if you want to stay within the Dr. Bronner line.

      @SittingKittyColorado 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ Everyone is different as are their locations (I live in Colorado - semi arid here). I found a better solution but even Dr. Bronner's recommends their sugar soap for the hair over the castile soap but they don't poopoo the idea of using castile on the hair either.
