Never had a problem going through a bottle of Nonino because it’s delicious on the rocks with an orange twist. But definitely gonna give these cocktails a try.
Ha! I'm with ya. I just love the stuff but I get a ton people asking me how to use Nonino, so here we are. Hopefully you dig the cocktails. Cheers, pal!
With Bulliet being a high rye bourbon (as someone who doesn’t keep a bottle of high rye bourbon), would it make more sense to use a more corn forward bourbon or a low rye whiskey like Rittenhouse?
I would say dealers choice, really. Depends on your preferences. I personally would go with the Rittenhouse. I like the baking spice notes against the Nonino. Cheers!
@@CoachVinoLLC I can't wait! Joel and I will dive into one tonight for sure!! Can't wait to try all three!! Check out the 25th Hour and I'd use Lagavulin 16 for the peated scotch!!
Creme de Violette is another bottle that people buy JUST for one cocktail and then it sits on the shelf collecting dust! ....I bought my bottle about 5 years ago, made 2 or 3 Aviations and haven't touched it since!
Hey coach, good morning and checking in from my home in Oklahoma ( after literally being chased by hurricane Milton in Florida on Wednesday) all these look AMAZING! Where can i get Amaro Nonino?
Hey Eric, how it goes, brother? Glad you made it home okay from that hurricane. Scary stuff! Amaro Nonino can be tricky to find but Total Wine & Spirits usually has it. Cheers, pal!
Loved that coach! I created a cocktail with Nonino called The Cherry Bella, hope you try it sometime. Now you convinced me to add Smith & Cross to my collection. Here's to a Subway Series! I'm still upset about the Phillies though. Cheers, Scotty G.😅
I actually went to a party over the weekend and someone had a bottle of Nonino and I had to find things to mix it with. I did a few with whiskey and some with aged rum and ginger beer. It's quality stuff. Great video, Vino.
I like the sound of all three recipes, and I am definitely storing them. Other than a paper plane, I really like this Nonino drink that I made a year or two back. It was one of many delicious Christmas time sippers, when I could work through my bottle of sherry as I lay down beside the Christmas tree. la viña 30ml rye whiskey 30ml amaro nonino 30ml lustau east india solera sherry 1 dash regan’s orange bitters stir & strain into nick & nora
That sounds really good. I love a cocktail that uses sherry well. Not to mention I'm a sucker for anything Christmas. Will save this for the holidays. Thanks for sharing, Tony! Cheers.
I actually have had "Academic Review" saved to try for a while! I just thought, by looking at it, that the Irish Whiskey would get totally lost it it. But seeing your reaction, I gotta give it a go.
Yo Vino, my Bronx Brother! Great video and perfect timing; Amari and Fall, what's not to love? I tried the Fallback a while ago and it's in the Rolodex. I might have to try and then grade the Academic Review as it does sound crazy enough to be delicous. Another ingredient-filled tasty one I suggest you try is The Healer: 1.5 Bourbon, .75 Suze, .5 Nonino, fat .25 Licor 43, and 1 Lemon Juice. Try it on a rock! Cheers!
My BX hermano! That Healer cocktails sounds great. I love the touch of Suze and actually surprised to see Licor 43. Super intrigued. Adding this to my to-drink list. Have a great one, brother. Cheers!
What is your favorite Amaro Nonino cocktail? 🇮🇹
I never had them😢
25th Hour using Lagavulin 16!! Delicious!!

yes! More uses for amaro than just a paper plane!
Gotta think outside the box, they say!
The Fall Back is soooo good! ...you know i gotta try that S&C cocktail! Nice lineup!
Yeah, I love the Fall Back, too. I knew the S&C one would get your attention. 😉

I don't own a bottle of the stuff because I knew what would happen. haha. Though I do have a few bottles that I'll probably never/rarely use.
These sound great! I might have to pick up Nonino again
They really all are yummy and as good as reason as any to score another bottle of Nonino.

Damn, someone just left Nonino out there for folks to play with? Hats off to them. haha! Cheers, brother!

The Irish whiskey provides a warm base, allowing for the other flavors to shine too.
That academic review, even though it has a lot going on, it seems like it was worth the trouble. Cheers coach!
Hey Cam, like they say, nothing worth having comes easy. ha! Cheers, pal.
@@CoachVinoLLC truth!
All seem good, but I don't look for trouble, trouble looks for me... It will find me, so I should probably make that...
Well, it found you. A couple of them and it'll find you at the police station too. 😅
