Suggestion: Everytime you upload a new Off Meta Pick, put the PREVIOUS Off Meta Pick on the Tier List, so the people that only watches a few of yours videos will get curious to watch the other and understand why the pick was placed on that tier. And the people that see every video will have the most updated tier list. Also, you will have some time between videos to play the champion and give it a more accurate tier.
I first saw Chimes stuff starting with neeko support. She is one of my all time favorite champions, and I'm a support main! So I instantly had luck and was able to start climbing with it immediately. Sad to see both Ahri and more so Oriana support so low on the list as they are my 2 other fun to play champs in support. Love the vids. Can't wait to see more and another tier list next year Chimes ;3
Yea I loved Neeko as a champ, but never really enjoyed her mid. After picking the predator semitank Neeko supp up I found out how fun she is. Just become a low health teammate and pretend to run to just turn around and run at insane speed into their team to R. With that new evenshroud item and zonya's its crazy how much dmg you still do with her in the early and mid game.
As a long time Taliyah main... Who has switched to support as I've found that's actually the best role for her right now - THANK YOU! 😂. When you put pyke/Taliyah on the list I was like oh no he's gonna skip over my girl like everyone else, but I held out to the end because I've always felt like you have genuine insight into these picks and there's no way you couldn't see her strength. Was happy to hear you considered her for the #1 pick
I would love to see this video remade every year or so just to see how these picks still hold up. All the one shotting assassin builds might end up a lot lower on the tier list after the durability changes of 12.10 for example

Weirdly enough a relative of mine did Taric top a few years back. Some characters can't all-in if you have a single mana item to make up for Taric's heal being so bad. He never climbed with it but it does work at all elos. Also I used to play Shaco support so this feels validating, thank you Chime! I used to play Heimer/Shaco bot, here's hoping that nightmare shows up on here some day.
Weirdly enough I learned Taric Top on my climb to Diamond just to pick it if I had a jg that liked Yi. I only played it 11 times in the season but never lost a game.
I had similar success wit Zilean smite top (65% WR) over a dozen games, but man, it's such a headache to play and requires you to be big-brained the whole time for it to work
@@MetalxLicaxPP Entirely ignore your lane, never go top, make the enemy jungler's life hell every moment you have smite up (needs a looooot of gamesense) and meanwhile keep roaming and burning down the rest of the map. Occasionally go top with your team to cash in on the shutdown gold your toplaner opponent accumulates from having "much better average CS than you" and scale from there. On top of that comes the fact that hypercarries REALLY love having an extra pocket enchanter to work with. It's good, but as Ichiro said, you need to be really really good at the game itself, not the champion. I'd argue that if you have the gamesense to pull off a consistent janna top with smite and this strategy, you can climb to at least high diamond easily with literally anything that even remotely works, just from your actual skill at playing the game alone.
I was really surprised you didn't make a video on Taric Jungle yet, that pick can probably stack up with most off-meta picks you put in a tier, maybe even S-tier.

Dear HappyChimeNoises, I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU for reviving this game for me. Honestly, since I started playing league I really loved this game. I would play ALL the champs in all roles because I was trying to find something to love and constantly play. The past years I have decided to main Jungle, Mid and sometimes I play support because I feel that these roles are the best for Soloqueue, but also have lots of champions to play. Sometimes I get really bored of the game and I feel like there is nothing new. After finding your channel though you have definitely brought a breath of fresh air to the game! Whenever I get bored I just open your channel and browse through your videos, I am a fast learner so most of your picks really suit my playstyle and I have been able to find great success with most of these. They are not only fun, but insanely op, and the element of suprise is the best thing! I have been playing a ton of off-meta jg picks (Akshan, Morde, Tf) and man this game is more fun than ever! That veigar supp is so clutch once you learn the range of the E and start stunning consistently. With the price change to ever frost also helps over iron solari.

Been watching since the first off meta video and you've been my favorite league content creator ever since, I've been playing since season 2 and I always loved off meta picks, that's literally all i play, i mained almost every champion that riot eventually reworked and literally came back to league because of you, Keep up the awesome content!
Neeko is coming to the light soon. I'm playing with her in mid/sup and even when I behind my enemy if I manage to do good roots and place nice ultimates, the space it creates to the carries is amazing. Crown, zhonyas and W makes you very unlikely to be picked off
Interestingly a really strong counter pick to Nunu mid is another Off-Meta pick: Singed mid. Singed W ends nunus W channel so you can disrupt his push, he also has roaming abilities with Tp, preditor or even ghost that match Nunu if he wants to visit other lanes. Only the everfrost setup can be annoying for Singed to engage and he has to bait it out of Nunu. Thats at least my experience from the few times I matched it in Dia
The thing is cass and aniv will have a prob on defeating nunu mid becausd the point of nunu mid is to survive and roam to end the game early so I think the singed one is a good off meta counter
I remember I was playing top VS Sylas, but brainfarted and thought I was jungle, so I picked Rek’Sai. Upon realizing my mistake, I thought I was doomed. Well, I absolutely CRUSHED the Sylas and won top lane.
What you can do after every video is add it to the teirlist chart. That way you have a estimate at where you think it could be, but you could always do a new update at the end of every year

I got to this channel when he released the inting shaco support's video, from there I never missed a video and I always think'd "yeah there's a few off meta picks in this channel". A year has passed and now i look at this and say "deam there's a lot of these off meta picks and never realised". Keep the great work love u.
Most of the higher tier off meta is really good and i have ~80+% WR but the most difficult thing to do when play off meta is get into a game bc i play in Vietnam and 99% of VN player are Meta-sheep and dont even know wtf an APC is and always dodge when they see smthg that is not normal for league standard 5 yr ago Nice work,keep up with the wierd meta build so i can find some more fun in this game
They only see pro play/ high ranked games but never theory craft. I'm so glad I found kha'zix mid and now i am playing it top/mid to climb (have to change rune page every game though). Of course muting people is a must but now i can actually climb and have fun with the game. Love the content, Chime
With the upcoming changes to items, Lethality Urgot could be really good again tbh, since Death's Dance healing on a kill is going to be based on your AD now instead of HP.

But yeah, they're cliche af, but it's hard to make something new when you're making daily vids. I guess they could be made like challenger replay ones, but I doubt that it'll get as much traction as the clickbaity ones.
Criminally underrated but highly recommend is Braum jg. You can go traditional support build but just take a sunfire aegis/frost gauntlet if you want, but it also opens up the idea of bruiser build. - PTA rune - Chemtank - Titanic - Winter's Approach Does not matter what you go with after that, you have so much damage and survivability it's disgusting and your ganks synergize so well with diving fighters/supports/assasins. Clear early is bad but ultimately clearing camps is not what you're meant to do early with this build, you are supporting your lanes until you can get your own items.
I tried the Nasus Jungle and Shaco Support and got Gold 1 very easily, I like these off meta stuff honestly. Very refreshing to not use something that is on the meta. Also another very nice video keep it up mate :D
For real! Got to plat with nasus jgl at like 67% WR. I dont like him this season cause of the Scutler nerfs, screwed my Path. Still a good pick, but a bit slow to reach its potential.
My boyfriend became a Neeko supp main and all of our friends love him for this. He also started playing Taliyah recently and some others too. I sometimes play Bard mid, this is very funny, too.

Lillia top was played in international tournaments, wouldn't exactly call that off meta lol Shaco support with glacial is sooo much fun, people can't run away from your boxes anymore, and it's so good in Laning phase to get 2-3 free Autos in from the adc Great video as always tho uwu
I like the choice of Off-Meta-Picks but in my opinion Anivia-Poppy Botlane is definetely missing. Its one of the most fun combos I have ever played and leaves nearly zero counterplay to your opponents. Anivia just places her wall and poppy uses her E. This combo has no cast animation so also no time for the opponent to react. While the enemy is stunned Anivia can use her Q and stun them even further. On lvl 2 you can already one shot most adcs and if you wait until lvl 3 and get Anivia E you also oneshot anybody else :D The longer the game goes, the combo gets worse as people will expect that. But you can always get surprise kills on botlane or when you roam together as no one is expecting an instant stun one shot combo. And by the time they notice you will be fed enough to carry the game easily. Its honestly so much fun, you definetely need to try it

Since you talked about Neeko support. Hear me out: Glacial neeko jungle with approach velocity and stopwatch domination second for ravenous and the impaired movement true dmg thing - ravenous is so much better for this playstyle than relentless because you have approach + glacial anyway and usual healing in a 30min game is 4-5k and really helps on camps feels so smooth. You are the disrupt king in fights and also basically 1 shotting multiple people once you get good at using her trickery. The clear is surprisingly good if you're good at effectively kiting camps and playing around enrage bars. I got it down to 3:23 full clear. I noticed Poppy is an amazing jungler all the way back in S8 and made it work way before most people. Also on that note - ghostblade cdr boots into tank poppy - the tempo on that rush is simply amazing and you play like an assassin early, bruiser mid game and tank/bruiser lategame. There is only 1 counter pick - Olaf.
There's just so much you can do as Neeko jungle. Your support can go out of vision for a second and you take their place and suddenly catching the bot lane entirely unprepared with a glacially augmented E into ult. Or you pretend to be a Janna who roamed mid/top with the same result, etc. One of the things you do need to do is be on your toes in your jungle and path intelligently - every meta fucker will try to invade (and most of the time waste his time and get under lvled) She clears really quickly especially after lvl 4 with 2 points in Q. Also good luck chasing a glacial neeko through the jungle if you get hit by E.
I'm so happy to see Nunu mid in this list, I switched from jungle to mid after watching your Nunu video and have been having so much fun and so much success. A wise man once said "Nunu is my life, if Nunu dies, I'll die". And I really have to agree, Nunu is life.
Not gonna lie started playing taliyah support maybe 6 months before you released the video and found out it was broken asf. Glad you are highlighting it.
One off-meta pick I used to run back in the day was AD Leona jungle. You had some insane ganking potential, and if you were successful, you were always guaranteed a kill in the lane you were ganking. Especially after level 6 Jungle clear was slow in the early game, but once you bought a Tiamat, the jungle-clearing sped up significantly. Tiamat is a core item in that build. These days, I would recommend a build comprised of Essence Reaver, Titanic Hydra (or Ravenous Hydra), Mythics are situational, though the overall best is something with either lethality (such as Duskblade) or attack speed (Shieldbow or Kraken). If you manage to snowball, building full glass cannon is very fun. No one expects a Leona to 100-0 you in a split second. For boots, you should prioritize ability cooldown, or attack speed. However, this is purely situational, and if you need to get tankier, then definitely go steelcaps or merc-threads instead.

Funny enough, me and a friend did Singed/Yuumi bot lane before it was considered a strat. We did it just for a meme of "make singed move as fast as possible" but we found good success with it
if i were to pick, panth support would be a tier, cause he has - W for stun - E for skill blocks - His R Has slow and AoE - Spam q - Could beat the adc early game the only problem is that - still squishy even if you have 2 def items - slowed when using E - ult has high cooldown - W has short stun - Only has single target skills (reffering to W and E)
I think shyvana top is op right now. It counters most of the most commonly picked top laners the only thing is building frostfire would be better option

Nobody gonna believe this but me and my friend played neeko support like 3 years ago. It’s been a long time since but I still remember. We often pair neeko with jinx, caitlyn or jhin and oh boy Jinx root needs time to detonate and neeko root, which go directly through minions guaranteed that. Same goes with caitlyn and jhin Jinx and caitlyn is high-raged so they guaranteed to get free hits in while jhin play style give him time to dance around with his bullets. Since Jhin, jinx and caitlyn all have roots, it’s guaranteed for neeko to pop her full damage Qs Neeko support is like morgana but better in every single aspect. Her roots is multi targeted and go through minions which guaranteed to hit, her Q deal more damage than morgana puddles, her clone can ACTUALLY block any projectile damage, cc, etc while black shield only give magic shield and block cc on 1 single target, her ult deals more damage, cast faster, safer and easier to hit. Neeko passive also give baiting potential and some _classic misdirection_ It’s great seeing her being S tier. Glad that our unknown platinum strategy actually workout so well
Might I suggest Ap Teemo Support as an off meta pick? Focusing in on the mushrooms and ambushing people, you can create mass paranoia in the enemy team and once you get your ult, you can go into the enemy jungle and plant mushrooms around the enemy jungle camps so when the enemy jungler goes for the buffs or their camps, they can trip the shrooms and lose a good chunk of their hp, or in some cases, you steal their camps. Plus the only way to really counter it is by getting oracle lens and control wards, but then most of the team will be giving up wards in general just to avoid your mushrooms All and all good video though.
Nidalee Top is actually a lane bully, if you play her right. But definatly not on tank. Go Divine Sunderer for the Mythic boni. Then build AP. Lot of Oneshot-potential while beeing a good duelist.
i played as seraphine sup against taliyah, we dominated game and lane. It can be S-tier off-meta but still be garbage if you dont have the right players for it.
I once named my account monkey support.. I played only wukong supp. The secret to it is the runes and build. I highly recommend phase rush with nimbus cloak flash ignite. You max Q for armor shred then W for cooldown. Rush cd boots and serated dirk. Finish youmoos most games and then go into turbo chemtank. This build stacks CDR, gives you huge movespeed buffs, and still allows you to 1v1 mid laners. Super fun build and the W is a great counter to a lot of enemy supports :)
i love how a lot of the off-meta champions on this list are champions that don't see a lot of play normally. i am still waiting for someone to be able to climb all the way up using braum top since i am too bad to do it myself
There is a really nice off meta I'm working on that is very good , rek'sai support . Its like having a second broken jungler in the team , at first you play like you gank bot ("laning phase") much like a shaco support would do but with less mindgames and then midgame you never lane again , instead you roam all over the map or even with your jungler , snowballing all lanes and even counter jungling the enemy jungler. And a nice plus is that the one disadvantage of rek'sais kit , the bad vision while underground is totally erased because now you ward all you want, even while chasing enemies ;) . The only hard part is till lvl3 , the rest is easy.
me who quit the game years ago : ''hey, I've played most of those B+ picks and stomped with them'' I remember pre rework nunu mid, that shit was so fun. E enemie and Q minion then dance while they cry
Not super high on the tier list but I would say skarner is a pretty effective and underrated choice. You don't have to worry about damage input from your team and with enough ability/summoner haste you own the bot side map and with ult and 2 good timed E stuns you effectively take a champ out of the game for 5 seconds
I am a low elo player and I started spamming soraka mid/top playstyle. I got out of bronze easier than i expected.The only problem is that some players dont trust me and they dodge....Sometimes whenever my team perform bad they blame my pick instead of their mistakes.... Never had so much fun with another champion.TY Chime
I was top 200 Heimer last season as support, but currently i wouldnt rate him S tier. There are too many champs that can oneshot your turrets (irelia, yasuo,yone,renekton etc.) so that you become useless in a teamfight besides the ult. You also cant build cdr to get your turrets faster, so you get worse the longer the game goes. Also if the enemy has many assasins its very hard to set up bush traps as you are just as likely to be oneshot as them. Heimer works great against tanks and tanky bruisers, but they are not being played that often now.

Neeko is coming to the light soon. I'm playing with her in mid/sup and even when I behind my enemy if I manage to do good roots and place nice ultimates, the space it creates to the carries is amazing. Crown, zhonyas and W makes you very unlikely to be picked off

Interestingly a really strong counter pick to Nunu mid is another Off-Meta pick: Singed mid. Singed W ends nunus W channel so you can disrupt his push, he also has roaming abilities with Tp, preditor or even ghost that match Nunu if he wants to visit other lanes. Only the everfrost setup can be annoying for Singed to engage and he has to bait it out of Nunu. Thats at least my experience from the few times I matched it in Dia

Most of the higher tier off meta is really good and i have ~80+% WR but the most difficult thing to do when play off meta is get into a game bc i play in Vietnam and 99% of VN player are Meta-sheep and dont even know wtf an APC is and always dodge when they see smthg that is not normal for league standard 5 yr ago

They only see pro play/ high ranked games but never theory craft. I'm so glad I found kha'zix mid and now i am playing it top/mid to climb (have to change rune page every game though). Of course muting people is a must but now i can actually climb and have fun with the game.

Criminally underrated but highly recommend is Braum jg. You can go traditional support build but just take a sunfire aegis/frost gauntlet if you want, but it also opens up the idea of bruiser build.

Does not matter what you go with after that, you have so much damage and survivability it's disgusting and your ganks synergize so well with diving fighters/supports/assasins. Clear early is bad but ultimately clearing camps is not what you're meant to do early with this build, you are supporting your lanes until you can get your own items.
I tried the Nasus Jungle and Shaco Support and got Gold 1 very easily, I like these off meta stuff honestly. Very refreshing to not use something that is on the meta.

For real! Got to plat with nasus jgl at like 67% WR. I dont like him this season cause of the Scutler nerfs, screwed my Path. Still a good pick, but a bit slow to reach its potential.
My boyfriend became a Neeko supp main and all of our friends love him for this. He also started playing Taliyah recently and some others too. I sometimes play Bard mid, this is very funny, too.

Shaco support with glacial is sooo much fun, people can't run away from your boxes anymore, and it's so good in Laning phase to get 2-3 free Autos in from the adc

I like the choice of Off-Meta-Picks but in my opinion Anivia-Poppy Botlane is definetely missing.
Its one of the most fun combos I have ever played and leaves nearly zero counterplay to your opponents. Anivia just places her wall and poppy uses her E. This combo has no cast animation so also no time for the opponent to react. While the enemy is stunned Anivia can use her Q and stun them even further. On lvl 2 you can already one shot most adcs and if you wait until lvl 3 and get Anivia E you also oneshot anybody else :D
The longer the game goes, the combo gets worse as people will expect that. But you can always get surprise kills on botlane or when you roam together as no one is expecting an instant stun one shot combo. And by the time they notice you will be fed enough to carry the game easily. Its honestly so much fun, you definetely need to try it

Since you talked about Neeko support. Hear me out: Glacial neeko jungle with approach velocity and stopwatch domination second for ravenous and the impaired movement true dmg thing - ravenous is so much better for this playstyle than relentless because you have approach + glacial anyway and usual healing in a 30min game is 4-5k and really helps on camps feels so smooth.
You are the disrupt king in fights and also basically 1 shotting multiple people once you get good at using her trickery. The clear is surprisingly good if you're good at effectively kiting camps and playing around enrage bars. I got it down to 3:23 full clear.
I noticed Poppy is an amazing jungler all the way back in S8 and made it work way before most people. Also on that note - ghostblade cdr boots into tank poppy - the tempo on that rush is simply amazing and you play like an assassin early, bruiser mid game and tank/bruiser lategame. There is only 1 counter pick - Olaf.
There's just so much you can do as Neeko jungle. Your support can go out of vision for a second and you take their place and suddenly catching the bot lane entirely unprepared with a glacially augmented E into ult. Or you pretend to be a Janna who roamed mid/top with the same result, etc.
One of the things you do need to do is be on your toes in your jungle and path intelligently - every meta fucker will try to invade (and most of the time waste his time and get under lvled) She clears really quickly especially after lvl 4 with 2 points in Q. Also good luck chasing a glacial neeko through the jungle if you get hit by E.

One off-meta pick I used to run back in the day was AD Leona jungle. You had some insane ganking potential, and if you were successful, you were always guaranteed a kill in the lane you were ganking. Especially after level 6
Jungle clear was slow in the early game, but once you bought a Tiamat, the jungle-clearing sped up significantly. Tiamat is a core item in that build.
These days, I would recommend a build comprised of Essence Reaver, Titanic Hydra (or Ravenous Hydra), Mythics are situational, though the overall best is something with either lethality (such as Duskblade) or attack speed (Shieldbow or Kraken). If you manage to snowball, building full glass cannon is very fun. No one expects a Leona to 100-0 you in a split second.
For boots, you should prioritize ability cooldown, or attack speed. However, this is purely situational, and if you need to get tankier, then definitely go steelcaps or merc-threads instead.

Trundle Voli bot. Played for the police skins, loved because of how good it is. And has been. For years.
Funny enough, me and a friend did Singed/Yuumi bot lane before it was considered a strat. We did it just for a meme of "make singed move as fast as possible" but we found good success with it

- W for stun
- E for skill blocks
- His R Has slow and AoE
- Spam q
- Could beat the adc early game
the only problem is that
- still squishy even if you have 2 def items
- slowed when using E
- ult has high cooldown
- W has short stun
- Only has single target skills (reffering to W and E)

Nobody gonna believe this but me and my friend played neeko support like 3 years ago. It’s been a long time since but I still remember. We often pair neeko with jinx, caitlyn or jhin and oh boy
Jinx root needs time to detonate and neeko root, which go directly through minions guaranteed that. Same goes with caitlyn and jhin
Jinx and caitlyn is high-raged so they guaranteed to get free hits in while jhin play style give him time to dance around with his bullets.
Since Jhin, jinx and caitlyn all have roots, it’s guaranteed for neeko to pop her full damage Qs
Neeko support is like morgana but better in every single aspect. Her roots is multi targeted and go through minions which guaranteed to hit, her Q deal more damage than morgana puddles, her clone can ACTUALLY block any projectile damage, cc, etc while black shield only give magic shield and block cc on 1 single target, her ult deals more damage, cast faster, safer and easier to hit. Neeko passive also give baiting potential and some _classic misdirection_
It’s great seeing her being S tier. Glad that our unknown platinum strategy actually workout so well

Might I suggest Ap Teemo Support as an off meta pick? Focusing in on the mushrooms and ambushing people, you can create mass paranoia in the enemy team and once you get your ult, you can go into the enemy jungle and plant mushrooms around the enemy jungle camps so when the enemy jungler goes for the buffs or their camps, they can trip the shrooms and lose a good chunk of their hp, or in some cases, you steal their camps. Plus the only way to really counter it is by getting oracle lens and control wards, but then most of the team will be giving up wards in general just to avoid your mushrooms
All and all good video though.

Nidalee Top is actually a lane bully, if you play her right. But definatly not on tank. Go Divine Sunderer for the Mythic boni. Then build AP. Lot of Oneshot-potential while beeing a good duelist.

i played as seraphine sup against taliyah, we dominated game and lane. It can be S-tier off-meta but still be garbage if you dont have the right players for it.
I once named my account monkey support.. I played only wukong supp. The secret to it is the runes and build. I highly recommend phase rush with nimbus cloak flash ignite. You max Q for armor shred then W for cooldown. Rush cd boots and serated dirk. Finish youmoos most games and then go into turbo chemtank.
This build stacks CDR, gives you huge movespeed buffs, and still allows you to 1v1 mid laners.
Super fun build and the W is a great counter to a lot of enemy supports :)

I know people want to build a bruiser type of Poppy JG. But going full lethality poppy is just too damn fun to not give a try.
i love how a lot of the off-meta champions on this list are champions that don't see a lot of play normally. i am still waiting for someone to be able to climb all the way up using braum top since i am too bad to do it myself
There is a really nice off meta I'm working on that is very good , rek'sai support .
Its like having a second broken jungler in the team , at first you play like you gank bot ("laning phase") much like a shaco support would do but with less mindgames and then midgame you never lane again , instead you roam all over the map or even with your jungler , snowballing all lanes and even counter jungling the enemy jungler.
And a nice plus is that the one disadvantage of rek'sais kit , the bad vision while underground is totally erased because now you ward all you want, even while chasing enemies ;) . The only hard part is till lvl3 , the rest is easy.

Not super high on the tier list but I would say skarner is a pretty effective and underrated choice. You don't have to worry about damage input from your team and with enough ability/summoner haste you own the bot side map and with ult and 2 good timed E stuns you effectively take a champ out of the game for 5 seconds

I am a low elo player and I started spamming soraka mid/top playstyle. I got out of bronze easier than i expected.The only problem is that some players dont trust me and they dodge....Sometimes whenever my team perform bad they blame my pick instead of their mistakes....

I was top 200 Heimer last season as support, but currently i wouldnt rate him S tier. There are too many champs that can oneshot your turrets (irelia, yasuo,yone,renekton etc.) so that you become useless in a teamfight besides the ult. You also cant build cdr to get your turrets faster, so you get worse the longer the game goes. Also if the enemy has many assasins its very hard to set up bush traps as you are just as likely to be oneshot as them.
Heimer works great against tanks and tanky bruisers, but they are not being played that often now.
I was exited to see where my boy Rakan (Top and Mid) would go but he just isnt there xD.
