  • How to Remove and Clean a Blower fan that's making noise. In this video the subject vehicle is a 2004 Toyota Tacoma. The blower fan assembly is generally located in the same area for most cars/trucks and is removed just as easily. Stay tuned for a grim discovery and the cause of the excessive noise. If this video helped you, please help me and Like & Subscribe. It makes a world of difference. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

    My prerunner developed the same problem last week while camping in Oregon. Got back to Arizona last night and just removed the fan. Lo and behold, a creature started making a nest in the fan. Thankfully no dead rodents but that explains the gnawing on paper towel roll we found before breaking camp. Thanks for the video.

      Oh wow…it’s crazy how they find this space in vehicles. It’s almost like there’s an underground rodent information system that lets all rodents know to make a nest in the fan assembly. Glad you caught it in time before there was any dead ones! Thanks for the comment 🐭

    Very helpful! Mine started with an on and off vibration that would stop after banging it. Finally broke down and removed the unit and cleaned it as suggested. Wow--cannot believe the stuff that had accumulated. Thank you!

    Great job..Mine had a nest full of mice, I cut the fan on one morning and it killed them, few days later I couldn't drive because of the stench ...It was unbearable..

      Yikes! I don’t know how mice always find themselves in these places, but it’s almost like they tell each other. Then they die and can’t warn the others that it’s not a good idea 😂. Glad this helped!

      @FastFixTH-cam took it apart. Got it out, the motor had a clicking noise filled motor. I went to Toyota and they wanted $292 and $200 labor. I ordered one from Amazon for $46. Works like a charm! However my Tundra was a LOT worse with how tight it was with little room to pull it down due to glued/attached wiring that crossed the blower.
      Man, I had to subscribe bc you have a lot of things I need to watch and do as well. Lol... your channel is great.

    No cabin filter in the Tacomas ?

    • @FastFixYouTube

    I replaced mine and its still loud its only like super loud blowing noise

    • @FastFixYouTube
      @FastFixYouTube  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello. If there’s nothing in the fan housing, that’s causing any noise yet it’s still very loud check and see if you’re in cabin air filter is installed or potentially very clogged up. if there’s no in cabin air filter, I could see how there would be a lot of wind noise. If the cabin air filter is installed check and make sure that it’s not completely plugged up as that could potentially cause some noise as well. Best of luck!
