Also what if the poneglyphs are indestructible because someone who had the barrier fruit used they're awakening on them so they could never be destroyed. We know that Bart's DF was in Wano as we saw it in in Oden's flashback

I like this idea because it involves everything and brings everything together. Really love the connection between Rayleigh and Blackbeard, with Rayleigh knowing why Blackbeard wants the Mero-Mero no mi. It makes sense that he would know because he knows all the secrets of the world. Also interesting that Sabaody isn’t that far away. Maybe he is on Sabaody so he can watch over Amazon Lily from afar, since he’s a male and wouldn’t be allowed there in the first place. And saw he was pretty much able to swim halfway there.
Even if Oda doesn't go this route, your analysis and deep dives into numbers, lore, and real life history is unparalleled! This is one of your best bangers yet Ran D. 🔥

I always find it interesting how Luffy and buggy have so many parallels and things align for them naturally but blackbeard (and maybe shanks) have to manipulate things.
Can’t wait to see buggy’s awakening, I was thinking about his fruit just a few days ago and how important it will be in the end.
Also, if the original Oars IS Joy boy, it's interesting that Ace (Possible Potential Joy boy candidate) made a descendent of Joy boy a giant straw hat, (the one little Oars Jr. wears) and that of all places, Wano is the place that Ace learns how to weave a giant hat.
Oars being joyboy would be so anticlimactic, he's already known as the island puller or whatever too
Imo one and only Joyboy candidate was Luffy. Look at it, he just making true all promises of Joyboy on way to one piece. + His goofy style of being Luffy from the start making him ideal user to his goofy devil fruit. Ace was too smart to even make though about gear 3 or 4....

A completely original idea that I’ve never heard elsewhere. Wildly impressive video!
I like it (mostly for that cool poneglyph golem art) but also because it brings together many elements throughout the series. One piece is long but a validation of that length would be if almost everywhere and everyone met along the way played some role in the climax and key elements of the series. Also buggy playing a key role in the series is always funny to me considering he could have just been a one off villain.
Side note. Leo could be the stitcher rather than doffy.

Joy Boy being a giant makes some sense regarding the Lore of Zunesha, that thing is incredible huge. Only a giant with a powerful devil fruit could beat zunisha

And no, JoyBoy is not coming back to life because inherited will is one of the main themes of the entire series, not being dead as long as you are remembered, because as long as you are remembered others will continue to do what you were doing, you'll stay alive through their actions in your memory, because they inherited your will. If you believe Oda would scrap that, one of the backbones of the series themes, then sure, the poneglyphs are parts of JoyBoy that will be reassembled and reawakened and JoyBoy himself, Oars, I, father of the continent puller, will reclaim his hat from the vaults of Marie Geoise, and the 1500 chapters prior to that were just the prologue to awaken the main character of the story, and nothing that happened in them actually matters

Randy went full parvision on this one, would be interesting to see how much of this stuff actually connects how ever I’m not getting on the boat just yet, personally I think the voice off all things doesn’t let you “hear” the thoughts of people but let’s you hear their desire/soul/true intent which is why they never actually “say” what they are hearing just “who is that, or what is that” I believe the voice off all things is why luffy was so adamant about things like zoro, nami and sanji joining the crew and even more so with nico robin, and in recent chapters he keeps talking to kizaru about why he’s doing this cause there’s a chance kizaru really doesn’t want to do these things but he’s under orders and he’s in the end a good soldier above all else, this contriction of actions vs desire would like likely be why he’s asking so many questions, and would really make sense with the whole cake arc and sanji situation at least to me.
Now when it comes to objects we’ve learned that they can also have desires base on say the “desire/will” of a previous “owner” of said item in the case of the poneglyphs if they were written with the “desire and will” of a person or persons the item now Carrie’s that forever and those with the voice of all things may be able to hear the “the desire of those items to be combined or read in sequence to not forgotten which could be why roger knew what he had to do but needed oden to actually translate them.

It also doesn't hurt to mention that probably besides the Gorosei and Imu, Blackbeard most likely is the most knowledgeable about devil fruits considering he spent decades reading the Df encyclopedia on Whitebeards ship. He knows what he's doing in terms if collecting certain fruits but I wonder if he doesn't need every single one he's gone after. There can be some exceptions to his plan and that's why he backed of off Boa's when the resistance to get it was too much hassle to make it worth it

You don't need the memories of a sentient being for an item to have a purpose. Roger still needed Oden to translate the text, so the stones cloud not convey their contents, he could not hear the thoughts of someone. He could, at most, tell the purpose of the stone, like: To tell a story, to pinpoint a location, to show a route, to apologize
To be fair, being petrified (basically being killed), chopped up to 30 pieces and left to wait for 800 doesnt exactly help with having complex thoughts to communicate

Regardless, this is just one of small problems with this theory, the main one is that it contradicts one of the main themes of the series, that of inherited will. If a theory goes against Hiruluk's words, that theory is immediately wrong

one thing I love about how the devil fruit system works is how as fruits reincarnated throughout the centuries the different users could have different interpretations and skill levels of the same ability. It really allows for some crazy different spins on the same "unique" powers.
I'm subbed to dak and mentioned to him a while back that I think the devil fruits exist *because* of Nika and not the other way around!! My thought was the entire world of One Piece is possible because of Joyboys awakening

I personally think the Original Joy Boy was actually the Nika fruit "eaten" by either an inanimate object due to Zoan fruits having pretty much their own souls and human fruits being vastly smarter. It would explain why "Joy Boy" is spelled with " ".

Vegapunk said his theory of what a devil fruit is is someone basically trying to manifest unnatural powers that's against mother nature so from that i thjnn joyboy didn't eat a devil fruit i think all logia. Zoans. And paramecia where all living thing's before death and their will and emotions plus their natural ability was turned into a devil fruit and only way to get them was to manifest them back but instead of the person it was their essence
This is such a good theory that I am fully invested in it now. The first time i I heard you talk about it I thought it had potential but now I'm pretty convinced this is going to be the big twist.

22:30 MASSIVE twofold problem with the theory here. 1. Roger didn't have a son when he said that, as Rayleigh pointed it out. He was not adamant on his son in particular being a key to the future, imo, but claiming it would be, as they had already said, the next generation, and he wanted to leave someone behind who could lead that generation. 2. Shanks gave his hat to Luffy because he said the same thing Roger use to say, because they had the same dream, and that was even before Luffy met Ace for the first time
Yeah this theory is wacky but I admire the work that went into it. I'm pretty sure it's said flat out that the Wano masons were working with the poneglyph material even before the void century.
@@jackroberts2704 The thing is, the more contradictions in a theory, the less work it has been put into it. If it ignores something that's been consistently present since Roger's execution, then they didn't even think this over for more than two seconds. You can get as wacky as you want, in fact, the more crackpot the better. Just be critical enough of your own idea to recognize when it's not possible, or just plain wrong.
Not sure about the masons of Wano, though, would have to reread, but if so, it'd be just another sign that this was not thought through

This is the most stretch i’ve ever seen on a theory but it makes so much sense
yesss i'm not entirely sure if i buy the literal reassembly of joy boy quite yet, but i love that this is taking into consideration the link and shared goals of roger before shanks before luffy. i just think the thing that they share here is not necessarily a literal missing piece (in the form of joyboy's hat), but a bit more abstract in that they hadn't weakened the world government's control over enough of the world for a revolution to be successful; and then maybe the overarching story of one piece is luffy's journey to finally liberate and inspire enough of the world's people to come together to overthrow a tyrannical government by the end of the story for the freedom luffy wants for his friends :)
so it's i think overall a story about how the material conditions for a successful revolution are set, and how you get buy-in at all levels from within (garp, koby), without (luffy, dragon), and everywhere in between (shanks, the boy that moon gramps ended)

5:15 I see that One Piece seems to have a lot of parallels to Bionicle in that regard. But One Piece got more time. Bionicle had to rush in the end and reveal the Giant Robot too early.

I know the artist who made that, and i love their version of One Piece.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention any ties or references to Mesoamerican culture. The ruins in Skypiea closely resemble Aztec or Mayan culture, with a few hints of Incan as well. Luffy known as the rubber man can also be a reference to the rubber people of Mexico known as the Olmec.

Coming back to this theory after the most recent chapter (1098), still not sure if I 100% believe the theory but Ginnys disease that caused her skin to turn to blue stone could help give this theory a bit more plausibility. What if Joyboy caught this disease and thats the reason he wasnt able to complete his promise to the people of Fishman Island, it is a pretty common theme through the story (Roger, Yorki, etc). So a bit morbid but maybe after he passed from the disease they used a combination of the chop-chop fruit and the paw-paw fruit to disperse the stones.
I still subscribe to the theory that Gol D. Roger found Laftel which showed him where the One Piece was. Laftel's poneglyph was the final directions to the One Piece, and the story of the Strawhats. Because what else would cause them to laugh so hard? they were laughing at the tale. The One Piece is located at Long Long island, but can only be found once a year, with the Agua Laguna hits, they made it there, found what was hidden, and regardless of whether or not they left the treasure there is besides the point. Because the man who was supposed to find it, didn't care if there was actual treasure there. Luffy just wants to be free and have fun afterall.
